Australia in India 2013/14-Limited Overs

Again, I did not see any out swingers in that video. The one that goes past Ricky Ponting at 1:07 is a straight delivery in which Pointing was playing for an in swing because he was getting that huge movement. The delivery that Ponting got out was similar as well, it might have moved away a bit but that would have been because of the pitch. If you see the video, you can easily figure out that his natural movement is one coming back into the right hander not the away going delivery. In the video you have posted, he is bowling in 130's and 140's but I have seen that whole tour and he was bowling at those speeds more often than not. He even reached 150 mark in one of the IPL edition he played with Deccan Chargers. So he is definitely quick but he does compromises with his pace to adjust his line and length.

the quality is not the best but there are ver few videos from India's recent tour of Australia.

I only remember him bowling inswing if anything, and it was usually a bit short; he stirred hype on that tour, but didn't get too many wickets.

Nevertheless, he looked much better and dangerous then. Nowadays you hardly see him bowl wicket-picking deliveries or swinging deliveries, which he earlier, used to bowl so often!! I even remember him troubling Ponting in India too and tell you what, he really really bowled to keep a great batsman like him guessing. He was a great bowler in the start, but is just a piece of s**t at present. If he wants to cement his position, he needs to bowl well and get his earlier form back.

A great start by the Aussies.I seriously cant believe it 2 runs of 20 balls wow maybe he has finally learned that you need passions in ODI's and also thanks to Kohli for dropping a sitter :D

It must be getting to the point now where other teams can just block out the opening bowlers waiting for Ishant to come on so they can pound him all around the park. I thought Indias pace bowling stocks were improving? Is Praveen Kumar injured?

A bit disappointing how the Aussies collapse with their 5, 6 and 7. A good effort by our spinners, not only taking down the run rate when once Finch was dominating, but dismissing their batsman just at the correct time. 300 still looks very much possible, but I don't expect the Faulkner and Co. to stay with Bailey for a long time.

I hope Bailey scores a 100..

^Haha that post seems so stupid now..
Some well connected shots from Johnson and 300 still possible..
Chaseable given our batting quality..

We have Shami Ahmed, Umesh Yadav who are both brisk waiting in the wings. Unadkat too has been good recently. I do not understand why Dhoni cannot try them out even in such an irrelevant series. Our fast bowling stocks are running alright but the others need more exposure. Ishant needs to stay away from the ODI side at least. Zaheer seems to be getting closer to returning to the side. Reports say he was good during the A team games versus the West Indies, gradually building up steam. He looks very lean now and that must help his cause fitnesswise. I see no reason why he cannot get back into the side and help India`s cause for another couple of years.

Very weird batting today by India. I mean none of the players really looked comfortable out there. Rohit was looking decent but as usual, just gave his wicket away. Dhawan and Yuvraj were looking really awkward on the crease. Virat has just got his fifty but he still is finding difficult to find the gaps regularly. The amount of dot balls really surprised me today because generally Indian batsmen are very good at rotating the strike. Mitchell Johnson is bowling with some serious pace. He was bowling at 155 km/h.

Again Doherty bowling a maiden over to Virat Kohli is just so weird to see. Doherty is bowling decent but not great enough to give him this much respect.

^^Credit to Aussie bowlers, Johnson in not only bowling fast, but hitting the right spots too. Mckay and Faulkner have done very well ..

Would be interesting if this pair can bat till overs 42 - 45.. Else, Australia's game!

George Bailey really impressed me today, thus Australians scored 300+ total, I never thought India will lose anyway at that time.

But a real bizarre strategy by Indian batsmen. Just go on blazing for first 15 overs should have been the strategy, when target is 300+.
I just didn't get why they were unable to rotate the strike even when wickets in hand. Especially Virat & Raina's stance was horrible. I didn't enjoy Indian batting at all today. Yuvraj's six was a lone exclusion.

Finch and Bailey really batted well, I enjoyed cricket there.

Someone please injure that Ishant man :facepalm Unadkat must come now

Indeed. Johnson firing at 150+ , supported by Mckay, Watson and Faulkner making life difficult for the batsmen, but they couldn't go all guns blazing in the first 15. Absolutely bizarre.:rolleyes

I don't think India planned the innings too well.Generally they play with aggression while chasing a big total but today they were a bit over cautious at times. They left too much to do in the last overs which i think was the main reason behind their defeat.Ishant Sharma is in a pathetic form these days.Hitting him has been so easy for aussies so far in this series.I'd like to see him warming the bench in the next game.

All credit to aussies. It's not easy to beat India in India.Disappointed that Bailey couldn't score the 100,he played so well with full control

Its amazing how Ishant can continue to get selected then, I like what I've seen from Bhuvi Kumar but where is Yadav? Surely Ishant needs to be dropped for the next game he needs to go away and work on things in FC cricket.
