De Kock making up for his LSG teammate & Captain Rahul with this knock.
Played slow.
Started hitting when required run rate became more than 18.
Hit six on the last ball after losing the match.

This reminds of someone.

SKY’s knock was the crucial difference in the end between these two sides. Sure he got fed full tosses but to dispatch them for sixes mercilessly rather than just be content with a couple of boundaries and ten runs per over shows his mentality. The man is a pure hitter and has the range of shots and technique to execute that. He needs to be backed even in ruts and even when it doesn’t come off because when it does, oh it is so glorious!

In an almost 'range hitting' match that happened today, Deepak Chahar and Keshav Maharaj turned out to be the best bowlers. Especially Deepak Chahar's figures looks brilliant though he didnt pick up a wicket. I watched the 2nd half of SA's innings live, and that one over Chahar bowled at the end (was the 17th over, I believe) was EXCEPTIONAL to the core!! He literally tied Miller and De Kock into knots. Chahar is known as a specialist Power Play bowler, but over the past few IPL seasons he has been honing his death bowling skills and one must say that he showed a very impressive display of it today!

I still feel DC can be a good fit to replace Bumrah in the T20 WC squad. Yes he is similar to Bhuvi, but why cant DC, Arshdeep and Harshal play? World Cups and especially T20 WC's should likely have batting fests. In which case, pace might not be of top most importance as variations and smarts. And Chahar beefs up the lower batting order significantly.

Looks like rest is back on the menu for KL Rahul and Kohli. SKY the warrior meanwhile has been playing nearly every white ball game humanely possible over the last few months.

This is one tiny ground. Even the chipped shots are going for sixes. :facepalm
