Australia tour of India 2023 - 4 Tests , 3 ODIs

Should have just sent Shreyas IMO, they need to stop coddling the bloke if he’s supposed to be a serious test batter for us in the future.

Anyone but Jadeja IMO at no.5 , Jadeja better suited at no.6 or 7 where he can bat at a brisk pace with tail instead at 5 where he eats up too many balls and puts pressure on the other end.

The thing is even Kohli bats to slow for his liking in tests ever since his struggle for runs started.

You gotta have runs coming from one end atleast.

Good day for India. I'm still not sure if Jadeja at #5 is the right choice though given that a specialist batsman in S.Iyer is still waiting for his turn. They did this in Indore match as well and that didn't make sense as well.

If India bat like they did today and accelerate in the 2nd session, there could be a chance of naking things interesting for Australia. Pujara and Rohit missed a golden opportunity here.

Oh, and I've this gut feeling that Kohli will not score a century tomorrow.

Could be an attempt to utilise a left/right combo and disrupt the bowlers.

I thought the left/right obsession would stop with Kohli who loved it way too much.

Yeh, that must have been the thought process probably. But did this pitch really warrant that?

More than that, does the sole left arm orthodox spinner warrant that when it’s that bloke?

Brainfade from Jadeja.

Blocking the entire innings he played suddenly decided to slog and get out.

Well still no Iyer.

Comms saying he has lower back pain and gone for scans.

Should have send Axar here instead if Jadeja.

Jadeja bats way too slow.
Right. Not questioning Jadeja's ability but Axar has been in superior form so it made more sense to give him as much time in the middle as possible especially with Iyer not fit to play.

Finally a test hundred for the King after almost 4 years.

Watched the whole innings ball by ball , a innings of great grit and determination.

Thoroughly deserved it.

India going for a draw most likely with this defensive approach especially with a batter short of Iyer doesn't come out to play.

With just 1.5 days left results is most likely be draw unless of course (Harsha's Voice) they decided to collapse in an innings like they did in the first two games.
