I do think they can pose more problems with the bat. Like I said the other day, they aren't going to bat for 160 overs on a flat pitch. Likewise, on a big turner I can't see them waiting to get out (like Australia did at times and England did last series). In both instances they will push for a result - as they did in Pakistan and New Zealand on flat pitches - and will not fear getting bowled cheaply in the search for an above par score in spin friendly conditions.
The big problem will be finding spinners to support Leach. I guess they've already identified Rehan as a possibility and then it would be Root with Jacks and Livingstone as other options that also lengthen the batting.
