Australia tour of West Indies March-April 2011/12

Couldn't call the overseas wickets India lost on tough ones, considering we scored over 600 on two occasions and all the other thrashings we dealt out.

It might look the same as an Indian patch of dirt with some grass around it, but it obviously isn't playing the same. Average score here in domestic is around 200, so yeah you guys have no idea.

And we're just over halfway through the first game, 8 wins later you'll be off sulking somewhere :p

Doey's first over yields three sixes :lol Lyon needs to step up and take the first choice spinner role soon.

--------

22 runs off his first 7 balls, and only 3 off his next 17.. as I said, Doey should be persevered with. Christian using the conditions well - 1/7 off 4 overs and 4 runs came off a shocking Watson misfield.

Wake up to 9 wickets down and still going.

Nice debut by Bailey, solid effort by Warner and Doherty will be happy to be in the wickets again.

They may have still lost, but the windies could have surely done with C'Paul in this game. That wicket was tailor made for a C'Paul type grafting innings.

lasted 32 overs. Not bad. With the 4 specialist batsman having played around 160 ODIs (less then MHussey on his own) and then 4 all rounders that are almost identical in their bowling and batting numbers I am not surprised.
Rule #1 of ODIs is bat out your overs. WI layers know how to hit sixes and fours but nobody can rotate the strike and get ones and twos.

I'm not too clear on what Marlon Samuels has done to remedy his bowling action since being banned by the ICC.

Nothing. He still throws. It was obvious from his first ball being bowled. Apparently he only had problems with his "faster ball" and was banned from bowling it but his action is still suspect.

India failing overseas = flat track bullies
Australia failing overseas = tough wicket

The wicket looks like a classic sub continent wicket.

Should never post stuff like that before a match has finished :yes

Hurray for Bailey :p Forrest made a couple of big scores in the CB series, but with Clarke to come back eventually, and Bailey probably a better player, I don't see Forrest lasting too long in the XI.

Don't much like the balance they had for this match though with Christian down at #8 - he's wasted there. Lyon would have done well on that kind of wicket instead of stacking the batting. You would think he'd come in for the next 2 matches at this ground. The last 2 might be a bit more pace friendly, which will work well as Patto and Hilfy will be back by then.

Good old useless Pollard. Excellent drop by him, couldn't have made an easier catch look more difficult.

Australia looks to be in Trouble.Hussey brothers trying to get back from the situation.

Hussey gone.

Narine looks like a carbon copy of Chanderpaul.

Bailey In.

CSK now has the India Captain, WI vice captain, Aus T20 captain, NZ ex captain, Part time India captain Mr. Raina. Team of captains :thumbs

The stadium is amazing and full. Wonder why we never played here and stadiums were always empty :noway Great environment :thumbs

Pathetic batting by Australia and great bowling by West Indies. They need to win this and need to have a winning habit.

First ball duck. WI going to compete with Aussies bad batting I guess.
