Australia vs England ODI Series - 7 matches - Sep 4 to Sep 20

Too true. It's an afterthought. We've just had some prime fillet steak and now it's time for some cheese and biscuits!

It's just ridiculous scheduling to have the ODIs after the Tests in an Ashes series. Since we've already won the Ashes does anybody care about the ODIs given that we've already won the Ashes? They just seem so pointless given that we've already got the Ashes in the bag.

Oh, and did I mention that England currently hold the Ashes?

Typical attitude of someone who knows they're going to lose. :sarcasm

Just watching the highlights having just come back from a game myself. Really disappointing to see England lose again, 250 really should have been chasable. Nice to see Ravi looking abit more assured at the crease. Started abit slow but played his shots after that and we need to stick with him, I think he's got a massive future. Changes to need to be made though, it's just not the best side we can put out, and they must know that.

Rashid had and has to play, Broad needs to get fit and we really could do with replacing one of the batsmen with Trott and also get Prior out for Davies or Foster. He's kept well, but his batting in ODi cricket continues to leave alot to be desired. We really need to bin him. I wanna see changes, and see us go in with:

Ravi Bopara
Steve Davies +
Andrew Strauss *
Jonathan Trott
Paul Collingwood
Luke Wright
Stuart Broad
Adil Gashid
James Anderson
Ryan Sidebottom

Not many changes from the team we had out in the 1st game. Strauss moves to 3, Trott replaces Shah, Gash comes back in and Davies replaces Prior.

For the record, I'm bothered that we're losing. I want to see us win as many games as possible, and although it's nice that we won the Ashes, we can't just play crap cricket again just because we've won 1 Test series.

Who needs 11 players!

Strauss is an opener, so he opens. Anywhere else is pointless.

You're probably missing Swann. We must play two spinners, Aus don't too well against 'em.

Is it just me that doesn't give a damn about the result of any of these games? I followed what there was of the T20s but 50 over cricket just seems pointless.
It's nothing to do with winning or losing; I'm just barely even checking the results let alone watching the games.

Mate, you're not the only one. Hardly anyone in Australia cares. Should've had the series before the tests like in 05. Back then that series was awesome.

Anyway, good win from us. Bowlers did well, but our batting is still a problem. We don't have someone who we can use to attack the bowlers, so it's a bit hard to go at 6 an over and score 300.

Sure, these ODIs aren't as important. But it's an important lead up to the Champions Trophy....which not many people care about either...but it's a trophy none the less.

I think the fact that you and other people have been visiting this thread and keeping up with the scores/watching etc. shows you do care to some extent.

I only care about England winning, but it doesn't really disapoint me when we lose in these. Whereas losing in Tests is massively disapointing.

You guys definitely need to bring in Trott, that guy fixed your batting problems in the Ashes, may as well see if he can do the same here.

I hope we bring in Siddle, may as well see why they picked him for our Champions Trophy squad on the back for 3 overs in ODI.

Lol. Of course you should be interested, this is the warm up to the ICC Champions Trophy, are you not going to give a damn about that either?

Good win boys, impressed with Lee's bowling, Watson was better and Johnson looks more confident in the colors. Good win, need to drop White down the order, push Ferguson up and I think our team is nearly complete with the return of Punter. Oh but Paine out, Haddin back in.

Has anyone ever given a damn about the ICC Whatsitcalled?

Uhh, yes, when you guys were in the final (???) and lost to the West Indies LOL.

Don't give me that because England are poo at ODIs and are possibly going to get beaten by West Indies "C".

We are way behind in terms of ODI cricket. The batting powerplay must be taken when you have a partnership going well and it should have been taken when Shah and Wright were going well.

Poor selection dropping Rashid. Two spinners are always handy in ODI cricket and Adil is a genuine all rounder who adds to both batting and bowling. We don't need an extra batsman, we just need batsmen who can apply themselves better.
