How can I trust that you are Clint Barton? There are more than 7 characters in marvel universe. You could pretend to be any of them who is quite unpopular? I've haven't heard of this Clint Barton in my life, expect the ones that are actually main characters like Iron Man, Captain America etc.. So apologies if he is a famous character.

Yup, character claims. I feel AK's silence when asked if he is Thanos gave him away. I honestly think he didn't know how to respond to my question. So I gave him a way out by simply answering "No", and he did, without any defense just say "No"

That's what I was expecting from you. If I claim my character, the other mafia character would fake claim it as his and say that it is his character.

Okay whether allowed or not, as this is an open setup I am sure character claims should be discouraged. Obviously if the fake claims are given to the mafia then it seems okay but suppose if not, then the whole purpose of this game is defeated.

On day 1 itself, 7 of us should have claimed our characters and that would have been game over. Surely no one is going to claim Thanos! This is all from a mod point of view. If character claims are okay in such themed games then we shouldn't be playing anyways as it is just not mafia. I mean there is no tactics involved.

Character claiming is the last thing scum wants to do this early, as it's easy to get caught out because someone else may have the character.

It's highly probable. I just read it as Captain America had to eat his words...

^ As I said, it's probable that TV didn't save me, but I read it as Captain America had to eat his words. Not that he attempted to safe Captain America.

If character claims are okay in such themed games then we shouldn't be playing anyways as it is just not mafia. I mean there is no tactics involved.

The characters are good vs evil, town vs scum, Avengers vs Thanos and his goon.

Leave the character claims then if it's an issue.

I'm sorry Rudi. Your attempts appear genuine but Im with Rebel and PE on this. Revealing a character will most likely backfire on the town. It would not be impossible for the mafia to figure out who the cop is by their character.

Taking your example, if you're indeed Clint and someone says he is Captain America/Thor/Hulk, who do you think will have a greater chance of having a PR? Obviously CA/Thor/Hulk.

Add to it what Rebel said, even if it works in favor of the town, I would rather not win that way. The thrill of outwitting your opponent is far greater than simply using the simple way out.

Okay so I should just keep shut then? I just said Rudi is a magnet first up, simple. No one knows anyone thoroughly whatever you have played with them. As I have inclined earlier, Rudi is probably the most suspicious to me atm. It is between Ashutosh and Rudi atm but I am not sure who. Ashutosh has been way too silent and Rudi has just taken a u turn on character claim thingy maybe because he realized his desparation to out people has been caught.
