NT 172/6 after 35 overs!

look we posted at the same time!!

If they don't bowl them out for 200 or less, they can consider it defeat, because the NT don't even have 11 first class cricketers.

I am sure they won't get all out before 200 as they have 172 already for the loss of 6 wickets only and with plenty of overs left.

Anyway Mehrab Hossain Jnr. scored 132*, Tamim 57 and Ashraful 80. So far in the series batting has been very good but bowling has been crap as usual.

NT 182 all out - Kapali and Mehrab got 3 wickets each. So they got all out before 200.

It's looking positive, hope we can give some competition to the Aussies

Found one game I know from the NT side in Trent Kelly but as you can see there is a reason hes playing for them :) Backup SA bowler who didn't get a go last season.
Anyway good exposure for some of the players from NT, haven't seen any in the State sides yet but this could be the starting point.

Scores from the practice game at Marrara. It isn't quite the batting feast that the Gardens was, in fact it's slow and difficult, I guess you would say that is the ground's reputation, a tendency that has also been noticed of the drop-in wickets used in Melbourne. Bangladesh might have gained false confidence in the conditions, though poor batting conditions might help their beleaguered bowlers to stitch something together.

Australians 177 (49 overs)
Mike Hussey 69
Sullivan 3/37

AIS 123 (33.5 overs)
Hill 34
Mitchell Johnson 3/5

Good bowling by AIS, Mike Hussey is a real saviour. It's the batting that made AIS lose the match otherwise I think AIS are a very good side.

It's pretty funny when you look at the players in their domestic teams. Drop is a bit of a hit with WA, but not huge, while Wade is highly rated, but hasn't been turning over Gilchristesque efforts like with the AIS. A lot of the NSW guys, like Forrest, Henriques, Khawaja, O'Keefe and Smith have been around and not quite made an impact. The Queenslanders have probably been around the longest and are maybe only first class quality, rather than being certain future stars. Hill and Holland are yet to make domestic debuts. There are names in there, but you could pick a more proven side of under 25s. With so many retirements last season, hopefully these guys take an improved standard back home and establish the new generation.

Aussies wary of Bangladesh upset

Australia appear to hold all the aces, but they won't be underestimating Bangladesh in their three-match One-day series starting on Saturday. All three games are being played in Darwin, the series originally scheduled as a Champions Trophy warm-up before that tournament was postponed due to security concerns over the host country Pakistan.

Despite being without captain Ricky Ponting, opener Matthew Hayden and leading paceman Brett Lee, the defending World Cup champions are expected to be far too strong for Bangladesh.

Aus seems to be fav in any case, but yes they should not take Banglasesh lightly, becase in Eng few years before i guess 2-3 yrs back in 2005-06 they had lost a ODI match to Bangladesh, even i heard interesting stats last year on TV news that the Bangladesh success rate in % of winning was second to Aus,possibly that year Bangladesh played with minnows or even few B graded teams, but yes they have increased their standards, but Aus is far too ahead.

Haha ...

Aussies should enjoy this series rather than going hard at us. We can't expect Bangladesh to win against any stronger oppositions at least by the end of 2008 under the captaincy of Ashraful but surely we can expect them to improve and be more consistent.

Such a shame that the Aus A v AIS match was on a bowlers pitch, would have been interesting seeing how the two went in the batting department as thats the AIS strength.
Holland once again impressive and O'Keefe did well, just worrying seeing that 2 left arm spinners are the ones causing us damage yet again.

Good bowling by Johnson, have to give credit where it's due.

all the top 6 teams says that before playing a underdog team. but when it comes to reality, they plays new players. and thats not underestimating.

can some 1 [ kahlek ] tell me whos the guy with light blue shirt, 2nd from right?

Finally the Aussies are back on air.
Mike Hussey finally gets a chance to show what he can do up the order and David Hussey and Marsh have their chance to show why they should have the one opened batting spot which could be two if Hayden retires.

Cricinfo predicted lineup for us
1 Shane Watson, 2 Shaun Marsh, 3 Michael Hussey, 4 Michael Clarke (capt), 5 Andrew Symonds, 6 David Hussey, 7 Brad Haddin (wk), 8 James Hopes, 9 Mitchell Johnson, 10 Nathan Bracken, 11 Stuart Clark.

Bowling attack looks a bit iffy, only 3 bowlers with the rest being part timers and Johnson and Clark can be suspect at times.
