Bangladesh in Australia Aug-Sept 2008

Yeah, I read that about 10 minutes ago. The strange thing is that Watson isn't playing, while Greeves is. Is Watson injured?

Geeves is a great bowler mate. Just giving him experience and a try I think.

Are we not taking too much risk by resting our all star players :mad

Bangladesh have won the toss and elected to bowl.

Geeves makes his debut.

Bangladesh: 1 Tamim Iqbal, 2 Mehrab Hossain jnr, 3 Mohammad Ashraful (capt), 4 Raqibul Hasan, 5 Shakib al Hasan, 6 Alok Kapali, 7 Dhiman Ghosh (wk), 8 Mashrafe Mortaza, 9 Abdur Razzak, 10 Nazmul Hossain, 11 Shahadat Hossain

Australia: 1 Shaun Marsh, 2 James Hopes, 3 Michael Hussey, 4 Michael Clarke (capt), 5 David Hussey, 6 Brad Haddin (wk), 7 Cameron White, 8 Mitchell Johnson, 9 Brett Geeves, 10 Nathan Bracken, 11 Stuart Clark

Who replaced Roy?

If you knew much about AUstralia you would know that they are not being rested.

Ponting - Wrist Injury
Hayden - Achilles
Symonds - Grog
Lee - Marriage breakdown

Cameron White probably replaced Roy, Geeves for Watson. At least we have something to watch for with Geeves making his debut, looks better on the bowling front although it could use a specialist spinner.

A good start by Aus, 49/0 in 10.0 overs, should get easily upto 300.

Michael Clarke said Australia's batsmen were rusty in their only practice game in Darwin but he is confident they will be right by Saturday.

for live updates go to www.banglacricket.com and they have ppl at the ground, who writes back every 10 min. crapinfo wont do any updates just because its not indian match  :mad

....
Or it could be because they don't want to send someone to Darwin to cover a match between the AIS and Bangladesh? Just a thought....

here is another thought. if it was the indian team over there at Darwin, then cricinfo differently would've covered the match. "Cricinfo brings news of women's cricket, blind cricket, minor leagues, even school cricket. CI covers Scotts, Netherlands, Canada, UAE, Kenya, Bermuda, Ireland ,Nepal and others" they ignores 9th ranking testing playing team.

how about that thought?

one down!! :happy:happy:happy

Hopes didn't look comfortable out there today, I liked his aggressive nature but not what we needed at that point. Should have left the attacking shots to Marsh who looks to be timing his strokes and took time to get his form back.

Hopes gone, incorrect timing. Marsh is looking shaky, wrong time to get out Hopey :(

watcing it live, the score card thingi looks kool! some one should make the patches for those!! :D

Good economical bowling by Mashrafe and Nazmul so far, Aussies have low run rate so far.
