Bangladesh in Australia Aug-Sept 2008

Damn Bangladesh scored 229/9 in the first innings of the 4th match, what a shame its gonna be another big loss

Hayden has been ruled out of the tour now, does give Marsh another chance to push his claim for the openers spot.

Huge.

AIS 1/230 (36 overs)
Khawaja and Hill formed a brutal unbeaten 2nd wicket partnership.

Though this was no official series, the AIS won three games to the tourists' one. Bangladesh will look to avoid embarrassment on Wednesday against the low profile Chief Minister's XI, while the AIS side will hope to stick it to the Aussies on Thursday at Marrara.

What a shame! 9 wicket loss! An international team getting hammered by a domestic side. Again its the bowling that caused the big loss. Too expensive, I don't want to get anything positive from the warm up games or the series, its just useless doing those stuffs now.

Hill is another that has been impressive for the AIS. Forgot all about Doropoulos, first time hes played this series, seemed to go alright.

If they could take wickets, then the economy would follow. The batsmen weren't worried enough to show caution and once they got set, they just hit the bowler out of the attack.

Just a few tips, MacLovin (and I guess for anyone else), I think quoting huge chunks of cricinfo.com is generally frowned upon, most forumers are familiar enough with the site to read it at their leisure. Moreso, simply dropping a whole article in your post and making no reference to the original author or article is a form of plagiarism, even if it is obvious and nicely formatted, it is against the forum rules. You should provide a hyperlink instead and a short explanation of what the link is to. You might also notice that the news you posted isn't exactly breaking news, Aussie1st mentioned it yesterday, in a post on this page. It might be felt that you aren't reading the thread before posting, which is again an element of the forum's rules and just common courtesy, something that will be expected unless a thread is quite long or moving hundreds of posts per day.

An additional tip, if you have posted as soon as you saw the article, you might benefit from learning a bit about Really Simple Syndication, a way in which you can be sent news as it is published without having to browse through stacks of sites all the time. Most web browsers now allow you to use RSS even easier with a Live Bookmark (look for the icon:

)

This toolbar link in your web browser will update itself to display all the latest headlines. You can get live bookmarks for most newspapers and news sites. Cricinfo have general news feeds as well as country specific ones here:

You can even make your browser subscribe to this thread!

Aus Vs Bang.
I am wondering why Bang can't play more games with teams near them in ranking.
like Zimbabwe, West Indies, England,etc.
These teams are more they Level.
But a team like the Mighty Australia, it's like a Car smashing an Ant.

I agree that they should be playing Zimbabwe atleast once in a year but not WI and England because they are actually too tough for Bangladesh.

i really don't think so.
West Indies and England lacks in there Cricket most of the time, one min they play good, next min they play bad.

I don't know about England.

but the way i am seeing West Indies playing right now, Bangladesh could give them a good run. more than Aussie

Yes its true that Bangladesh will be able compete harder with them than with the Aussies

But if we talk about winning, I don't think Bangladeshi players will be able to put a fight against the likes of Chanderpaul, Gayle, Sarwan, Taylor, Flintoff, KP, Anderson and others

khalek added 8 Minutes and 9 Seconds later...

Good news, Bangladesh score 305/4 50 overs against Northern Territory...

Hope they can defend it :upray

England would be way too strong, they are 2 up against SA in the ODI series.
If Bangladesh can't defend that total against NT they are in big trouble. I don't even know the players in that team but that would be our D grade team.

NT 15/1 after 4 overs... Good start for Bangladesh, they need few early wickets

Latest update: NT 172/6 in 35 overs

What a shame, a D grade team has such a good run rate!
