The players that played in the test series against Bangladesh should not feel the need to be thanked; they should feel honored to wear the West Indian cap and be picked to play.

What are you talking about really? I have been silent and trying not to get involved in the crap talk, but seriously, what is your point?? We were beaten, twice in 4 days and you talking about keeping same team even if first 11 called off strike!!! I can understand you don't want to see the likes of Gayle, Edwards and Bravo and company turn your guys inside out, but don't give me that BS about what they should do with guys that helped them out!!! As far as I know in certain countries here in the West Indies these 5th string players would have been stoned on the field, mate did you not see the grounds?? Clapping you heard was from the ground staff, media people and the cameramen, home where the 1st & 2nd ODI is taking place persons have been seeking refund for tickets purchased in advance!!!! And others are telling you on the street, they are going for the beers and boozes not the cricket, and the reason is the "replacement players" so don't come in here and say what they should do with the players that helped them out, what they should do is get rid of them, they same way they got rid of themselves in both test in 4 days.
And guys like Sammy, Roach & Miller will not play on the field once the "Originals" are back!!! Because they are just that a bunch of cowards and replacements!!!

1st of all NO. i would want to see Gayle and Co in the feild, so i can watch some challenges thrown to BD players. i was happy & excited when i read Gayle and them decided to play. b/c i wanted to see how our boys do against them. trust me we BD fans wanna see our team play against the real team more then you guys do. though we enjoyed the win (some lil more then the other cough cough ROBIN ahem) some of us really want to see exciting, challenging and good cricket.

and 2ndly i never said thats what they SHOULD do. i was saying the board cant just use those players like that. you gotta feel for those guys. thats exctly what the board is doing. those players saved WI from embrassment. i know they have lost, at least there was a WI team. the opponent did not have to go home without playing a game. and i put myself in their shoes. so if i were them, i wouldnt enjoy it, if they had just used me like that and kick me out. and thats my opinion. you dont have to agree with me, nor you have to get mad at me and get all worked up over what i said. its not like i said something insulting. so stop SCREAMING at me!! (those "!!!" are very sceary). i just felt for those guys. (and dont give me that crap "ohh soo you can white-wash the ODI series too", like i said we wanna see the main XI too)

Mahmadullah finding the middle of the bat now. Bangla should be able to reach 230 - they're 200 with 6 overs to go with Mahmadullah looking good, Shakib settled in, and 4 more overs of the batting powerplay. Even 250 is possible.


Oh, and I'd rather see Bangladesh flailing about the first XI rather than this side. Playing against this side I'd want to see a 3-0 victory with 3 comprehensive wins. Even 2-1 is okay considering it's ODIs and we've won the Tests 2-0.

Bangla got 247 in the end. Decent total. Looks even better considering WI at 17/2 after 6 overs. Shakib opened the bowling with spinners, Razzak struck second ball. Genius.

I'm pretty sure Kemar Roach will play a lot more for the West Indies after this series is over.

Yes he will and was always on the cards to accompany Edwards & Taylor, it's been between him and Baker, I do hope he holds his own and maintain when we get back the Originals.

Finally an update on the ICC Cricket site: International Cricket Council - Match Zone - Team Ranking

Bangladesh has now 10 points. Is this their highest ever? Or was that after the match against Zimbabwe? Zimbabwe was likely ranked lower then West Indies, when Bangladesh won the Test series against them, so I presume these are their highest points ever.

There used to be an ODI predictor, but I see it's now gone. It probably has to do something with the new look of the ICC website.

What I want to know is why the fearsome tweak is Floyd Reifer captaining or playing? I get it; experience, but still, a specialist batsman with batting averages of 9 and 11 in Test and ODI cricket respectively shouldn't be in the side to be honest. Darren Sammy should be captaining tbh

I think Reifer is there, as you said, because he is experienced. Probably the only one who knows what he is doing when captaining.

Doesnt Rawl Lewis look pretty similer to Yousuf Pathan? just a bit darker. not just look but he bowls pretty smiller...havnt seen him bat much, but he is a righty...he hit a six, and i almost thought it was YP on WI kit and got tanned

Pathan = Off Spinner
