Shameful. They're making an utter mockery out of international cricket. It's outrageous that Bangladesh even agreed to play this fifth-string side, made up of players who aren't even part of the professional cricketing union: in short, utter amateurs. I certainly don't think real test teams like Australia, South Africa, India, England, Pakistan or Sri Lanka would have agreed to play under these circumstances ? it goes against basic morals of sportsmanship and competition. The true cricketing world should leave the WICB and WIPA to mend their own fences, rather than have West Indies' proud reputation tarnished in this shameful and woeful manner. Bangladesh should indeed be stripped of Test status for even agreeing to this utter sham.

ok my ans to you. what kinda ████ talk is this? was it our fault that they are playing a "5th" string side?? we go down there, on the other end of the world to play cricket, and just come back?? it takes almost 3 days to get there. we went there to play cricket. dont care who we play against, thats not our problem...
and yes AUS RSA many not have played, but are we AUS RSA SL??

If they're not aiming to be on the level of Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka or any decent Test side, they shouldn't be playing Test cricket in the first place. Test cricket's meant to be played by the best of sides and is meant to be a spectacle of talent and skill — this is therefore nothing but a perverted mockery of the game. The fact that a side can stoop so low as to take advantage of another country's internal struggles in order to get wins and points is baffling and shocking. If a team struggles to beat the likes of Ireland, it's fair to assume the sort of level they play at and where they should play at. I think you should be blaming your country's administrators and players for agreeing to this sham and thereby making your side the laughing stock of the cricketing world and deteriorating the values of Test and international cricket.

T20 is any body's game, dont forget OZs lost to the ZIM. so Zim should have gotten their their test status back?

We are an International cricket family where fan bondage and mutual respect should prevail over everthing else. It appears you are not well informed about Bangaldesh cricket.

May I suggest mate that you take the time to read quite a number of artcles on Bangladesh cricket that I wrote from a neutral angle in Cricket Articles section.

I cannot blame you much as our previous Captain brought our performance to an all time low with a shameful loss against Ireland.

If you have a non performng Captain it is bound to rub on the entire team members. Consequently results have been disastrous although we had some wins here and there against Sri lanka and New Zealand which cannot be discounted.

Now see what has happened .Replacement of Ash by Mashrafe and subsequenlty by Saqib has worked wonders.

Bat or Ball or Brain he has done exceptionally well in all the departments.

Besides his own performance and lifting up that of others like Tamim, Mahmudullah, Rahim and Junayed he has achieved the impossible the resurrection of Ash in One dayer. He has been the greatest Headache of Bangladesh in the last 2 years.

It is true that whatever Bangladesh has achieved has been against a depleted side.But that is something Tigers has no control.

Even the depleted team has some good talents. Many of the young guns have performed well like Bernard. Sammy has been awesome and a constant threat.So Kudos to West Indies for that.

The problem of the West Indian team so far has been it's inability in playing spin that has brought their undoing. Also one has to accept the fact that majority of their players have little or no International exposure.Having said that Tigers are also a very young side with 3 of them : Imrul (played in a few test, and Rubel and Mahmudullah only made debuts in the present test series.) The team is also devoid of their Regulars: Nafees, Aftab, Alok and Dhiman.

Hope this will help you to get a better understanding of Bangladesh cricket and as readers our friendship and bondage will prevail over such a small issue or topic.

Bangladesh isn't a rich team. It costs them a fair bit to get from there to WI, and since they are there they might as well play whoever they are put up against.

I don't see anyone being excited by these wins. Shakib called it their biggest win ever, but only in the sense as it was their first Test win overseas. Apart from that, there was a lot more excitement for beating Australia in an ODI than beating WI in the test series.

Bangladesh lose 1 T20 and 1 ODI to Ireland, and all of a sudden people feel they aren't World Class, despite the fact that they've routinely hammered all minnow sides they have played apart from 2 matches. They've beaten Kenya, Netherlands, Scotland, Zimbabwe, Hong Kong and UAE all very, very convincingly. They're the best of all the smaller nations, they deserve to be a Test side. How about instead of having them banned, give them a chance to play more Test cricket. 2 Tests a year is no where near enough. Look how Pakistan is going after a large absence from Test cricket!

No one's blaming Bangladesh for beating this s***hole team except may be fluorescent and hooper, its just that the celebrations are not coming naturally and that doesn't mean that we are not happy with the win but some of the guys are over-celebrating as well so it's a mixed feeling.
