Batting and Bowling Nets now available in the Cricket Academy

I can't tell if we have new animations or if they are just strung together better.

End result is the same though, everything feels so much smoother and more natural.

Still no animations for the batsmen being hit by the ball.

Overall it's pretty neat. Everything just a little bit better.

When I press R3 to activate advance down the batsman raises his bat higher which is really nice inclusion as a tell to the bowler..

I haven't infact I just cited my DBC14 issues with the hope that they will be sorted out in DBC17.

New info:

Pressing the R1 and R2 [Precision shot and Defense] gives a push kind of shot..Nice addition..

Oh. Just that or does other combinations work too? If a RB+LT would give give me a chip shot then it would be really amazing.

This current set of batting controls seems to have the best potential to include everything a batsman plays. Can give total control. Just hoping that the chip shot, full range of shots for advance down the wicket and ability to leave or duck after a shot is selected and before the ball is met will seal the whole batting controls.

I like the toggle option for advance for control but raising the bat is may be a big tell especially may not be great in online games! Especially given that we cant bluff like we can in IRL and have to play a advance shot once it toggled!


Also im more hoping for better tells from bowler other than colored circles!

That's for your benefit to know you've registered the advance - my understanding is that it won't be shown online.

Loving the feedback guys, anything picked up will help us - remember this is pre-release and Beta.

There is a lot of new animation in the game, of course all of the female animations are totally new - we purchased our own mo-cap facility for which DBC is the first "client".
