Battle of the Australians: Bill Brown vs Hugh Trumble

Shane Warne The best leg spinner of all time for me.

Turner's stats look good but you can't go past Warne. Warne's ability to confuse batsmen is second to none.

So I pick Warne

Shane Warne. This should be a landslide. Turner didn't play that many games but got to 100 dam quick. First I've actually heard of him though. But Warne gets it, World Record holder, best leg spinner ever and handy batsmen.

This is a bit unfair on poor ol Charlie Turner. Even if he did pick up 100 wickets at 16, Warne has picked up 685 at 16!
So Warne for me too.

That's Warnes test match batting average, not his bowling average ;) His bowling one is still a very respectable 25.

9-0 to Warnie then.

Old McDonald for me. Great stats in the era of no helmets, and was good against spin too.

I found this one mighty tricky, however anyone that can stand up and face the likes of Trueman on a sticky wicket with no helmet gets my vote - McDonald

Give people a while NP, they might get their answers in during tomorrow afternoon, as well as the various Aussies in the next few hours.

Colin McDonald Good stats. Since he couldn't wear a helmet

Well this battle was a dry one. Ol' McDonald goes ahead 4-0.
