This is truly bad. This guy deserved a better death than a murder.

Everyone has said and so no need for me to pour my feelings out. But the guy who did this, must be given the worst possible punishment, according to me!

No hanging - its just a minute of torture and then you're gone!

The interesting thing is, the person who have been arrested now also have good contacts with Indian & Lankan cricket members. Investigation still going it seems. But his nationality, who is that, what he does.. nothing revealed yet.

The motive of the murder still not known..

I just dont get.....why take a mans life because of a stupid sport......its a damm sport not war......shows that this world is going to the dogs.......think about how his family must feel.

I mean it wouldnt be as painful if you know he died of medical conditions or somthing but but someone taking someones life away for a stupid little sport is absoloutly mad!
Well, as has been mentioned, there's a possibility of sports betting syndicates being involved and if that is the case an awful lot of money. Complication makes it much more than a game, it's also a massive business, and a political arena. In this case you might suppose that Woolmer could name a few people involved in match fixing and not only would money be involved, but also some very powerful people who do not wish to go down, at any cost.

But, don't they have surveillance cameras to see who enters which room, especially for such events?

Good thing that the Indian team has NSG Commando cover. I hope the ICC keeps events in future at places where adequate security can be provided. If Woolmer was murdered, then how could the murderer get in and out, without any one noticing?

Also, the claim by the Jamaica police that they will reveal the identity of suspects in 8-10 hours is a bit weird considering the fact that the Mumbai Police ATS(Anti-Terrorist Squad) took around two weeks to figure out what exactly happened when 7 trains were blown up in Mumbai.

When the Indian cricket team starts its World Cup campaign, a team of 16 NSG commandos will be in the Caribbean to provide them security cover.

The government has decided to send a team of commandos and bomb-detection experts to help the Caribbean authorities sanitise the venues. The decision, taken early this week, comes after a security assessment that terror groups could target the Indian team, which was followed by a formal request from the West Indies.

This is all just so, so bad. :( :crying I hope the guys who did this get caughth soon.

All the matters has now been handed to Scotland Yard :) they r the best :happy

well i thought from the beginning that it sounded a bit sus just disgraceful and good to see they've made an arrest but i wonder if Bob Woolmer new him as they said there was no sign of forced entry.

I dont think that it was just an enraged fan who commited the murder.
Pegasus is a 5 star hotel, with a decent amount of security. Reportedly you need to punch in keycard to gain entrance. Also there werent any signs of struggle.
So, its very much possible that Bob knew his murderer. Or, he must have good contacts, to be able to get so far.

And yes, as Anand said, its wierd that they didnt have a cctv camera for monitoring purposes.

so the reports on that website were fake were they?

I was having dinner and in the background I heard on the radio (99% sure) I heard there were no arrestes. I'm very sure I heard it right, but I'm not 100% sure.
