ponting is just getting annoyed and depressed about his form so he trying bame other people, i think he is done from cricket and he should probably retire

Haha, good one. Seeing as he can't officiate I fail to see how Chris is going to affect decisions against Broad.

Yeah that being proof that Broad gets his Daddy to help him.

This picture shows us pretty conclusively that he doesn't hold sway over decisions about Broad.

You're telling me, that another ICC Match Referee may not be just the slightest bit more reluctant to ban one of his co-worker's sons?

Considering he has what I've seen to be excessive appealing at times, and whining about umpiring decisions in the past (which could very easily had been a fine / ban), it must have an effect. Especially during this winter, his whining to the umpires in the SA series - I can see many other players getting a fine or even an official warning for that - he didn't even get that.

I expect Stuart Broad to get atleast a 1 match ban after his antics today - disgraceful.

Firstly, celebrating a wicket without even looking back at the umpire (which he has already been warned about), and then throwing the ball at Zulqarnain Haider unjustifiably.

Let's see how this ends - any other player, atleast a fine / ban, Stuart Broad - hmmm.

Ranjan Madugalle has charged Chris Broad with a Level 2 offense.

Ban the kid already, he's gotten away with too much in cricket so far.

They mention his previous record in the article:
Aside from a reprimand for excessive logos, Broad - whose father is the ICC match referee, Chris Broad - has never yet been found guilty of a breach of the ICC's Code of Conduct, despite numerous moments in his three-year Test career when he has sailed close to the wind.

His persistent failure to acknowledge the umpire when appealing for lbws has irked several onlookers, while he escaped without punishment after stepping on the ball during the Cape Town Test against South Africa back in January.

Good call from Swann though:

he can't throw the ball hard enough to hurt anyone anyway

I'm pretty sure he has been found guilty before. I posted links earlier in this thread to that effect.

If I remember correctly he got a warning for him throwing his left hand out during his delivery stride and for appealing then not looking at the umpire both level one offences hence why he hasn't been banned.

Must say I hope he gets banned for it as it was completely unprovoked, unrequired and stunk of him getting annoyed because he couldn't get him out.

I'd of thought it almost definitely means that Shahzad will come in which I'm looking forward to. If they pick Bresnan I will support Pakistan.

So...that seems to contradict what you're saying.
