Congrats mate! It's a pleasure watching you bat, and you are a great bowler too. And the way you partnered Roberts in that final wicket stand, brilliant!! Murali, you are a genius!
May 5th 2007 - It's all over. Sussex have been well and truly mullered. We have showed to everyone that we are the best team in this league by far, and the title will surely be ours later in the season. In a ruthless show of efficiency we skittled Sussex out for double figures; With me taking a couple of wickets.
I was very happy to be given the responsibility of bowling with the new ball and I didn't let Chilts down. With only my 4th ball I bowled a rising delivery which Ian Ward tried to pull but could only hit it into his chest and he lobbed a catch to Sutty at short leg.
Nobody pulls me and survives.
My second wicket came with a complete misjudgement from Montgomerie. I was bowling some pretty tight length balls and he decided to leave one that nipped back to clip the top of his off-stump.
The bails go flying as Montgomerie makes a fool of himself.
The rest of the wickets fell with alarming regularity as Sussex succombed to a massacre. Our bowlers were just too good for them and our impressive start to the season roars on.
The hapless Sussex were well and truly thrashed.
Another tight bowling display with Murali being the stand out again.
Before I could go home and rest my aching joints, I had to go through the rigmarole of accepting my man of the match award. I had a brief interview with Paul Allot who was very impressed with my performance but my words were short and sweet; "It's a team game Paul; This award is for all of us".
