Story Coming Of Age - A Bangladesh Story [ICC 2006]

Still... Hayden is a big man to get :) But once again, Bangladesh have to be watchful with bat which is a tough task against quality pace.

Really good pres, shows that you can do good things with the limited graphical capabilities of ICC, would be good to post the score at the end of every update though. Good story.

Day 3 Session 1

Australia came out effectively 2 for 238 and in an almost unbeatable position considering the Bangladeshis batting form with the loss of 7 wickets in just one session but Bangladesh ran onto the field full of energy and enthusiasm a good sign for a team which seems down and out against one of the greatest side in history. Even with their enthusiasm the Bangladeshis could not stop Matthew Hayden reaching his half-century.

Just a couple overs later they increased their lead to over 300 with a terrific sweep shot from Matthew Hayden. On a deteriorating pitch the batsmen added runs slowly but consistently without the loss of a wicket until Matthew Hayden attempted to charge an arm ball from Mohammed Rafique causing him to go back to the pavilion stumped by Mushfiqur Rahim.

First innings hero Justin Langer walks to the crease in a complete different situation than last time as Australia made it to 153 for 3 with a lead of 324 at the end of the session.

P.Jaques 37 (121)
J.Langer 4 (10)

Current Bowlers

Bangladesh have to hope on weather interruption as the lead has gone past 300.... Lets see, who knows, Bangla can create a historic win too :D

Day 3 Session 2

The bowlers started the session bowling a lot of wide deliveries, which didn?t worry the batsmen at all with Justin Langer hitting 3 consecutive fours and Phil Jaques making his way to 50 off 153 balls

They Australian batsmen continued to dominate the day until Mashrafe Mortaza made the break through the Tigers were searching for getting Justin Langer lbw for 37.

Shane Watson came to the crease looking to prove his worth after only bowling 1 over during the Bangladeshi?s 1st innings and making just 35. He found himself in the same situation as before batting with an opener by trade and facing the new ball. In just the next over Phil Jaques got lucky with a leading edge just going past the fielder for 4 a shot that moved him into the 70?s. In the middle of a terrific spell of bowling with a new ball Mashrafe took another wicket this time it was Shane Watson who was told to walk back to the pavilion after edging a ball to the slips.

Adam Gilchrist walks to the crease and Australia is just 10 runs away from creating a 400 run lead that you would expect to be insurmountable. Phil Jaques strike rate continued to increase while he started to treat the Bangladesh bowling with little respect hitting boundaries off good balls up until the end of the session where Australia finished 242 for 5 with a lead of 413 runs

Current Batsmen
P.Jaques 80 (223)
A.Gilchrist 12 (28)

Current Bowlers

M.Mortaza 20-2-65-2

You need to PM a mod to get it done. Good 2 wickets there but this game is getting further and futher away from them. They must just give it their all now...

Australia in the driver's seat now with a lead of 413. Bangla on the back foot. Can u please include scorecard. It will look much better.

Some pics, colured writting, include titles for every paragraph. That will make it more intresting.

Day 3 Session 3

Australia are expected to declare at some point during this session unless the Bangladeshis get some quick wickets but with Phil Jaques current form that seems unlikely. The Australian batsmen scored slowly and eventually Phil Jaques reached his century, which was the final nail in the coffin for the Tigers

With a 444 run lead the Australian batsmen continued to increase the run rate with Jaques and Gilchrist making the boundaries look like they are 5 metres away seeming to hit at least 4 runs off every over and with this quick pace they reached the 500 run lead with just 22 minutes left in the session. With just 3 overs left in the day Gilchrist brought up his 50 with a brilliant cover drive in an innings that included 7 boundaries.

Gilchrist and Jaques hit 4 boundaries off the last 3 overs and this gave Australia a lead of 523 runs and it seems that they are going for the 600 run lead. With 2 days to go the Australians have batted the Tigers out of contention leaving Bangladesh playing for pride.

Current Batsmen
P.Jaques 135 (315)
A.Gilchrist 61 (141)

Current Bowlers
M.Mortaza 30-4-109-2
M.Rafique 32-6-69-2

Nice presentation Griffo but i agree scorecards and colour are what are required to take this up to the next level
