I don't know why my best bowler by far is failing for me,maybe i should sell him but hes got so much potential. I'll keep him for now i think.
33.3 W Mckenna to Crabb
Bowled him! Mckenna keeps running straight past the dejected batsman into the arms of an excitable Cockerill. Steady on now lads, there are children watching!
Why do i get the gay wickets??!
End of Over 37: 185-5, runrate=5.00
Wingham 9-0-44-1
Cullingford* 8 (14 balls)
Toney 44 (42 balls)
Last Wicket: Crabb b. Mckenna 44 (FOW: 169/5)
Need a couple of quick wickets to brake through into the tail now if i want to stop them getting to 250.

End of Over 49: 265-10, runrate=5.41
Got the wicket that broke through into the tail and that put me in control from there. Still a tough total to chase, should be interesting.
Sadlier 9-0-58-3
Howell 9-0-61-2
Mckenna 10-0-51-3
Wingham 10-0-49-2
Mellor 10-0-42-0
Solid performances,Mellor was ok,Sadlier cleaned up the tail nicely,Howell was poor until the last couple of overs, Wingham was brilliant in the middle of the innings too.No-one really able to push on and make a big score for Phil.
End of Over 3: 28-0, runrate=9.33, reqrunrate=5.06 (265-10)
Sherwood 2-0-16-0
Blair* 8 (8 balls)
Thay 18 (10 balls)
Couldn't have asked for a better start :D

Eased home in the end. Phils bowlings still a bit behind mine.

Reporter's Summary
Deasey Athletic's Broady
Top Order: feeble feeble
Middle Order: feeble feeble
Lower Order: worthless worthless
Seam Bowling: woeful feeble
Spin Bowling: woeful feeble
Fielding: woeful abysmal
MOTM: Sturgess

My batting is absolutely awful, 85 a/o. PC got there with 6 wickets and 26.1 overs to spare. I really, really, really need some decent batsmen, or I am not winning a thing this season.

Has anyone got any reasons why my teams rating's have gone from:

Any ideas to why such a big drop?

Don't know why your top order dropped, that should just be the first 3 guys which you didn't change.

Wickremasuriya dropped the seam bowling because of his feeble secondary.

Still annoying though!!!

Oh and now Adams has lost form :( Not sure why though, he just had a great friendly on sunday!!!!

We can tell you that Gillys Demolition Team won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a cracker! Hard and fast - should be a run-fest out there on this sunny day.

And first ball, I've been smashed for six. :|

0.1 6 Handbury to Thompson
Thompson has got hold of that one! The ball flies into the upper tier and is well held. Six runs!

Season 7 cup is under way.
The Fine Young Lads CG won the toss and elected to bat, I was going to bowl anyway. Hopefully my bowlers can restrict them and then let my strong batting get the total.

Eeeep!

End of Over 1: 12-0, runrate=12.00
Handbury 1-0-12-0
Willmott* 4 (3 balls)
Thompson 8 (3 balls)

What a flying start, I wish my openers would do that. Alright start by Sam, lets see how my new purchase goes in the 2nd over.

End of Over 1: 3-0, runrate=3.00
Sam 1-0-3-0
Steyn* 2 (2 balls)
Retief 1 (4 balls)

My first wicket goes to Shorey.

15.3 W Shorey to Retief
Retief has mistimed his shot and Shorey and Masibulele are appealing! The umpire seems to be nodding, and he's out - leg before wicket!

Islam is going alright as 1st change but would like him to get a wicket.

End of Over 18: 72-1, runrate=4.00
Shorey 4-0-13-1
Steyn* 30 (61 balls)
Powell 1 (10 balls)
Last Wicket: Retief lbw b. Shorey 37 (FOW: 70/1)

Right on time :)
18.4 W Islam to Powell
Roberts has pulled off a blinder. That ball looked like it was behind him when he caught it.

End of Over 19: 41-8, runrate=2.16
Obrien 3-1-2-1
Lewis* 0 (9 balls)
Bruce 15 (42 balls)

looks like an easy entry into round 2

Loving Islam figures now.
Islam 5-2-14-1

After 20 overs

End of Over 20: 77-2, runrate=3.85
Shorey 5-0-17-1
Steyn* 32 (68 balls)
Pye 1 (4 balls)
Last Wicket: Powell c. Roberts b. Islam 1 (FOW: 73/2)

Roberts on now, I'm trying sets of 5 on the advice of Voldy so let see how this works out.

Funny pattern going on. Pye gets a single off the first ball and Steyn stays on the strike for the rest.
Well until now

24.3 W Roberts to Steyn
Steyn gets himself in a complete muddle there and is trapped LBW in front of the stumps.

Just reward for Roberts who now has amazing figures (by my teams standards) of 3-0-3-1

End of Over 25: 87-3, runrate=3.48
Roberts 3-0-3-1
Pye* 5 (16 balls)
Ball 0 (3 balls)
Last Wicket: Steyn lbw b. Roberts 38 (FOW: 87/3)
