I'm sure you didn't want to promote to that league anyway:cool:

Lol even if I wanted to he was playing his best side so I had no hope.

I think it's a no-brainer even if you can win play-offs. There is no value in being promoted from V to IV unless you have an overpowered team. You benefit far more from being at the top of a crappy league than being at the bottom or even the middle of a more respectable league.

Had a playoff today, went on TIE and hammered him!
Sadlier took 7-18! All out for 100, really pleasing with 4 more catches for the keeper. Won by ten wickets, as well as 4 catches cockerill scored 58! Bring on those Mongooses *this does not mean i have a chance :p *

Jess Battlers v The Blind Society - Play offs

8.5 4 Floors to Mott
Floors tries his faster delivery. Mott has it spotted all the way and it's smacked through point for four more to the total.
8.4 4 Floors to Mott
That one's far too short and Mott pulls it easily to the square leg boundary for four.

Zorax getting a sound beating

End of Over 9: 55-0, runrate=6.11
Floors 5-0-32-0
Mott* 36 (36 balls)
Chandrasiri 17 (18 balls)

I'm batting which is what I wanted even though I got put in.

Not the greatest start from Ray.

End of Over 2: 7-0, runrate=3.50
Sealey 1-0-3-0
Masibulele* 4 (4 balls)
Ray 2 (8 balls)

End of Over 5: 32-0, runrate=6.40
Binnion 3-0-15-0
Robinson* 9 (11 balls)
Noon 22 (19 balls)

Batting today. Resting Myall and trying Noon. All going well at the moment. Also resting Lisbie.

5.1 6 Schalk to Robinson
Fabulous catch on the boundary…but the umpire's signalled six!! Hitchman put his foot over the boundary to take the catch!

Finally got some boundaries away.

4.1 4 Pieters to Masibulele
Hammered backward of square by Masibulele for four runs. That one went like a tracer bullet.
4.3 4 Pieters to Ray
Outside off stump and pitched too short. Ray wastes no time in thrashing that through the covers for four.

End of Over 6: 26-0, runrate=4.33
Sealey 3-0-9-0
Ray* 12 (19 balls)
Masibulele 13 (17 balls)

That's a good start by you Sean. Robinson going really well.

Argh my batters are slowing down after Ray got them started.

7.5 6 Sealey to Ray
Straight shot, picked up to long on, lands on the right side of the rope for a six.

7.6 4 Sealey to Ray
Too full and that's smashed away through cover with an authoritative drive on the front foot.

End of Over 11: 57-0, runrate=5.18
Pieters 6-0-32-0
Ray* 32 (36 balls)
Masibulele 23 (30 balls)

End of Over 14: 87-0, runrate=6.21
Key 2-0-10-0
Noon* 45 (46 balls)
Robinson 39 (38 balls)

Very good going here.

15.3 6 Key to Robinson
Moooo! Robinson was deceived in the flight, but followed through with the shot. Six runs over cow corner.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

6 to bring up his 50. Very nice indeed.

End of Over 16: 104-0, runrate=6.50
Key 3-0-18-0
Robinson* 54 (47 balls)
Noon 47 (49 balls)

16.4 4 Poole to Noon
Edged past the slip and there is no third man.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

50 for Noon on debut. Very nice innings on debut.

18.2 W Poole to Robinson
Good length ball just outside off stump which swings in late. Robinson puts his foot across and tries to flick it away but misses and the ball hits his pad right in front. The umpire raises his finger. Out!

Eh. Robinson goes for a very nicely played 66.

Just remember Masi PFL isn't great, should have rested him or played him lower.

Good 50 for Ray came back well after the slow start.
16.3 4 Pieters to Ray
Ray drives beautifully for four through mid off.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

20.2 4 Hodge to Ray
That one's disturbed the pigeons in the outfield. Four runs.
20.6 4 Hodge to Masibulele
That's past Shoeshoe's outstretched hand, scattering the pigeons on the way to the cover boundary......Great shot! Four runs.

End of Over 21: 106-0, runrate=5.05
Hodge 1-0-9-0
Ray* 61 (70 balls)
Masibulele 41 (57 balls)

Much better from Masi

26.5 6 Mcveigh to Masibulele
Battered by Masibulele, it's gone high and scatters the pigeons on the pavilion roof.

28.6 4 Mcveigh to Masibulele
Shot! What a shot indeed. Any keen youngsters out there could do an awful lot worse than study that particular stroke.
29.2 4 Angell to Masibulele
Belted past extra cover and the valiant dive of the sweeper can't stop four.

End of Over 31: 162-0, runrate=5.23
Mcveigh 3-0-26-0
Masibulele* 75 (91 balls)
Ray 80 (96 balls)

Oh my god. I'm going crap now. Better not have another collapse.

19.1 W Key to Noon
Bizarre catch by Rodrigo! The slip fielder thought he had taken it but, as it dropped out of his hand, Rodrigo made a fantastic dive to take the catch.[/QUOTE]

30.6 W Poole to Jepson
Jepson absolutely smashes that straight at Poole and amazingly it goes straight into his hand and he holds on to it! What a super catch but I'm sure it hurt![/QUOTE]

End of Over 33: 190-3, runrate=5.76
Poole 10-0-63-2
Sturgess* 31 (42 balls)
Saich 5 (4 balls)
Last Wicket: Jepson c & b. Poole 28 (FOW: 176/3)

Syl, thats nice partnership.. strong Top order ;)
@Sean, you are in good position too. No BT collapses hopefully :)

And my match with leftie started,

We can tell you that Ramsgate RSL CC won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking like a road. As flat as a pancake. No help for the bowlers on this sunny day.

On a flat pitch, batting first is expected.
Code:
7.3 [COLOR="Red"][B]W[/B][/COLOR]	Love to Basson
Nips back at him and takes leg stump out of the ground.
21.5 [COLOR="Red"][B]W	[/B][/COLOR]Hamed to Richardson
Through the gate went the ball, and to the pavilion went Richardson. A great wicket taking delivery!
25.1 [B][COLOR="Red"][COLOR="Red"]W[/COLOR][/COLOR][/B]	Clarke to Sayce
OUT, well held! Sayce cuts it, and backward point takes it out of the air to his right. Great catch!
31.4 [COLOR="Red"][B]W[/B][/COLOR]	Clarke to Henry
Got him! Looked to turn a slower ball away on the leg side, but caught the leading edge and a simple return chance is taken.

Scorecard at the moment,
End of Over 34: 130-4, runrate=3.82
Clarke 5-1-13-2
Lampard* 47 (64 balls)
Dunn 11 (9 balls)
Last Wicket: Henry c & b. Clarke 12 (FOW: 116/4)

I can see the game going still in balance. Lets see how it proceeds.

Hate when this happens

33.5 4 Angell to Ray
Brilliant shot by Ray, give him an inch of room, and he'll punish you.
And that's a century for Ray! Well played indeed Sir!

34.2 W Hodge to Ray
Straightforward outside edge to Angell at first slip.

Still Ray speed up before he got out so I'll take that. Chav can do some real smashing now.

35.1 4 Mcveigh to Chavhanga
Smack - Rope - Four!

End of Over 36: 206-1, runrate=5.72
Mcveigh 5-0-40-0
Chavhanga* 8 (7 balls)
Masibulele 89 (100 balls)
Last Wicket: Ray c. Angell b. Hodge 102 (FOW: 198/1)

Hope you don't get that collapse Sean.
Your bowlers are going really well Suren going to be a big problem for me next week.

End of Over 37: 223-3, runrate=6.03
Hitchman 7-0-28-0
Saich* 12 (12 balls)
Sturgess 49 (59 balls)
Last Wicket: Jepson c & b. Poole 28 (FOW: 176/3)

17 from the over. Brilliant.

36.6 4 Hitchman to Sturgess
Streaky shot but they all count!
36.5 . Hitchman to Sturgess
Good fullish ball angling away outside off stump, left alone and through to Rodrigo.
36.4 2 Hitchman to Sturgess
Nicely worked around to deep square leg. Great running between the wickets as well.
36.3 lb4 Hitchman to Sturgess
It's a bouncer, Sturgess hasn't read it. It's hit him on the helmet and it's flown over the top of Rodrigo. It's four.
36.2 . Hitchman to Sturgess
He’s got Sturgess playing forward and it’s just missed the outside edge.
36.1 b2 Hitchman to Sturgess
What did that bounce off? It went flying over Rodrigo's head, but in the end fine leg runs around and saves the boundary.
36.1 nb4 Hitchman to Sturgess
no ball, Pitched outside off stump, Sturgess opens the face of the bat and runs it down to the third man fence, well executed.

End of Over 38: 233-3, runrate=6.13
Key 9-0-57-1
Sturgess* 49 (59 balls)
Saich 22 (18 balls)
Last Wicket: Jepson c & b. Poole 28 (FOW: 176/3)
10 from the next over.

37.2 2 Key to Saich
Sweep shot fine of deep fine leg, but good fielding restricts them to two.
37.1 4 Key to Saich
Steps across his stumps and guides it away fine for four runs down the leg side.

37.6 4 Key to Saich
Full delivery, picked up over the umpire and long on chasing in vain.

10 from the over. :)

38.4 1 Hitchman to Sturgess
Good running after a push to mid off.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

Now he needs to go on and make a century.

End of Over 39: 235-3, runrate=6.03
Hitchman 8-0-30-0
Saich* 23 (20 balls)
Sturgess 50 (63 balls)
Last Wicket: Jepson c & b. Poole 28 (FOW: 176/3)

39.1 W Key to Saich
That was more reactions than anything else. Key has taken a great catch, always nice to do it off your own bowling

Argh god! Another wicketg! One more and his into the tail. :(
