Fighting Mongooses set a target of 111 with 20 overs left in the day. I tend to think this guy will have put himself in no position to chase at the required run rate, but I'm almost on the edge of my seat; will his team try to chase of their own accord and get bowled out or will his defensive orders cost him an embarrassing draw?

I lost by 6 wickets, Samuel took one this morning but the no.3 dug in and brought them home. I've got a bot tomorrow so that'll be over quickly.

I'm out of the cup, went on TIE, underestimated my oppo and paid the price.

On a more positive note, I won my first FC game ever today!!!!!!!! Made 500 thanks to 100s from Blair and Thay (both started off in my first squad but are still 2 of my best players!) and then bowled them out for 200ish twice. Then chased 15 and won by 10 wickets :)

I won by an innings and 651 runs as Legwathi got match figures of 11-31 and Crabb 4-28. Both playing amazing. Batting wise everyone scored big until our number 9 which shows our batting strength as Wtlie hit 146, Hodgson hit 203 and Watson got 199, and they were our opening 3!

Great first game, nice money aswell. Plus they weren't a bot. :)

won by an innings and 311 runs

pretty nice ratings too

Reporter's Summary
Everton HAF Whooping Boys II
Top Order: quality proficient
Middle Order: proficient mediocre
Lower Order: worthless worthless
Seam Bowling: proficient respectable
Spin Bowling: exceptional superb
Fielding: woeful mediocre

Alan Willie - £11,606 p/w

Always destroys me... but if I can get him I will be in with a great shot. GFIing this match but without my spin attack on a green pitch I will struggle with my already horrible bowling attack.

6.2 W Roberts to Balindlela
Roberts is the King of the Swingers there. Lovely bowling, and Balindlela is gone.

Wicket helps but my pace bowlers are struggling, my best pace bowler Greg Mbeki is held back from the new ball, he would do damage but his PFL is only lively.

Willie is 35 from 24 balls... but has never made a fifty against my team in competitive matches. I have a feeling he is GFI as well

23.1 W Mbeki to Willie
Great catch! He leapt at that one like a penguin catching his dinner! Out!

LOL IS THAT YOUR COMMENTARY EFFINE? Willie out for a quickfire 87

24.2 W Carrington to Keogh
Out. A top edged pull shot is taken by Lekgetho diving to his left.

Abbo gets one, thats two wickets in two overs. Mbeki and Harvey have plenty of overs left to do more damage

27.2 W Mbeki to Beck
Mbeki's bowled him! And here comes a dance! He's got great moves, but perhaps he should stick with more traditional dances before entering the national dance contest.

27.4 W Mbeki to Flinders
Straightforward outside edge to Nicholls at first slip.

28.6 W Carrington to Ridley
Wild slash from Ridley goes straight up, and pocketed easily by Gilbert at mid wicket. A soft, soft dismissal. Poor batting.

29.4 W Mbeki to Greenacre
That's lofted to long off and caught easily by Gilbert. Mbeki bounds around the place like a three-year-old chasing a butterfly in the park, Gilbert plays it cool.

Mbeki has run through them, his orders seem perfect

End of Over 32: 143-10, runrate=4.47
Harvey 5-0-24-3
Bird* 1 (7 balls)

Brilliant effort from Cock, Abbo and Becks. He has two killer pace bowlers so it should be a decent challenge, Wotton wont have a chance at 100...

Looking good.
Fighting Mongooses 1/171 (30.0) RR: 5.70
Whaley* 85 (88 balls)
Barton 17 (14 balls)

Whaley out for 116, but the show doesn't stop, Dodge hits a six first ball.

Should be a 300+ here, but I've been shafted before.

End of Over 46: 326-3, runrate=7.09
Whitfield 8-0-66-1
Staveley* 115 (102 balls)
Miller 17 (9 balls)

Last Wicket: Maughan b. Whitfield 75 (FOW: 303/3)

4 Overs remaining, everything is looking sweet

2/282 (45.0) RR: 6.27
Dodge* 35 (28 balls)
Barton 60 (50 balls)

The 5 over RR was 9.0, so we're predicting 330.

End of Over 16: 67-1, runrate=4.19, reqrunrate=2.26 (143-10)
Flinders 3-0-19-1
Gilbert* 23 (39 balls)
Wotton 5 (3 balls)

Last Wicket: Buchan c. Keogh b. Flinders 30 (FOW: 61/1)

Wotton now at the crease after a decent innings from Buchan seeing off the best bowlers of the team in a terrific effort. God starting well with a boundary

15.6 4 Flinders to Wotton
Wotton has creamed that through extra cover. Zero footwork, just pure hand eye co-ordination.
