bad bowling start on a H&F

End of Over 11: 91-0, runrate=8.27
Muller 1-0-8-0
Emblen* 42 (36 balls)
Convey 47 (32 balls)

Worst display by my batting lineup in a long time. Chasing 240 was all out for 153 in 40 overs. Masi and Germon were the stars with 50 but needed Masi to convert to a 100.

I had worse. Played my rival at home, green pitch, Best XI. Bowled first 4/270 odd, not a bat effort. Bowled out for 76. To say I wasn't happy is an understatement.

0.2 W Frazer to Gayle
Siyabonga claims the catch. The umpire takes his time making the decision but finally the finger goes up. Frazer is jubilant.

3 ducks in a row for Gayle:(

Using GFI and still getting smashed :(

End of Over 24: 146-2, runrate=6.08
Clayden 7-0-31-1
Challis* 64 (70 balls)
Wright 48 (35 balls)
Last Wicket: Kean lbw b. Mohammed 20 (FOW: 77/2)

A 5 Wicket Maiden from Matt "Abbo" Carrington

48.6 W Carrington to Dudgeon
Dudgeon's gone fishing outside the off stump but unfortunately for him, he's caught a big one. Wotton puts that one safely into the keep net.

48.5 W Carrington to Bolder
He's hit it high, really high. Was surely going for six until Harvey just managed to claw it to his grasp. Bolder will be disappointed with that one.

48.3 W Carrington to Thabiso
That's a classy looking drive with one major problem, he missed the ball. The clatter of the ball hitting the stumps confirms his departure.

48.2 W Carrington to Deacon
The ball struck Deacon in line and after a moment to consider where the ball pitched, the umpire raised the finger. Out!

48.1 W Carrington to Salmon
Hit down the ground but a slight miss hit means the ball won't clear Mbeki, good pressure catch.

Using GFI and still getting smashed :(

Thats bad Syl... You should have TIE to preserve atleast the PFL :p With training ahead and FC ahead, PFL hit might cost you.

Well, my cup game has began.. With two huge/crushing loss for HT last week, this game is very important.
We can tell you that HuntingTigers won the toss and elected to bat.

End of Over 2: 19-0, runrate=9.50
Malik 1-0-14-0
Bishop* 3 (3 balls)
Singh 16 (9 balls)

And it seems to be an alright start for our team :)

So after a long time, a nice opening partnership,

End of Over 13: 89-0, runrate=6.85
Vijayan 7-0-44-0
Singh* 44 (44 balls)
Bishop 43 (34 balls)

The young kid scoring his first fifty :happy
Code:
14.3 1	Malinga to Singh
Nicely flicked around the legs, deep fine leg running wide to field.
[COLOR="DarkGreen"][B]And that's his fifty! Well played.[/B][/COLOR]

First fifty for this Kid :hpraise

Bishop also scoring his fifty in style,

Code:
13.6 4	Sagren to Bishop
Beautiful cover drive! The coach will be very happy if he continues to play like that.
[COLOR="DarkGreen"][B]And that's his fifty! Well played.[/B][/COLOR]

Century partnership too,

End of Over 15: 106-0, runrate=7.07
Malinga 1-0-6-0
Bishop* 54 (40 balls)
Singh 50 (50 balls)

Nice nice :D

End of Over 24: 168-0, runrate=7.00
Govender 2-0-21-0
Bishop* 96 (72 balls)
Singh 69 (73 balls)

If Bishop's form didn't rise after this magical innings, I would be surprised.

It took just 77 balls for a century :D

24.5 4 Malinga to Bishop
A smashing cover drive by Bishop splits the field and the ball races to the boundary - four runs!
And that's a century for Bishop! Well played indeed Sir!

Wonderful!

End of Over 25: 177-0, runrate=7.08
Malinga 6-0-32-0
Bishop* 104 (77 balls)
Singh 70 (74 balls)

26.6 4 Malinga to Singh
What was Malinga doing? He let that through his fingers and it went for four.
26.5 4 Malinga to Singh
Lofted drive away for four through the covers.
26.1 4 Malinga to Bishop
Flashing cover drive. The man in the covers doesn't move as the ball sails past him out to the boundary.

A complete destruction of the opponents :p

End of Over 27: 198-0, runrate=7.33
Malinga 7-0-45-0
Bishop* 115 (85 balls)
Singh 79 (79 balls)

I am mainly hoping for HT kid to get a maiden ton! :upray Com'on!

lol I am surprised that you aren't happy with that RR :D

Well my team's highest opening partnership have been,

Wicket #1 Folds & Rampaul 225* (ave=61.45)

Hope this pair overcome it now.

End of Over 30: 216-0, runrate=7.20
Govender 5-0-43-0
Singh* 92 (91 balls)
Bishop 120 (91 balls)

Singh on 92! Com'on, Get that maiden ton! :upray

Who will be happy with this kind of run rate in a flat pitch  :p

With 300 definitely on cards, you shouldn't worry :D

Oh well, this pair has overcame the highest opening partnership for Hunting Tigers.

End of Over 32: 229-0, runrate=7.16
Sagren 6-0-53-0
Singh* 97 (95 balls)
Bishop 127 (99 balls)

This is just the second match which they(Bishop and Singh) are playing together! :)

And now how much is on the cards :p :(

I will still say, you will cross 300 ;) Oh.. may be 280-290! :p

And this is the moment I was waiting for,

32.6 1 Malinga to Singh
Nudged through the vacant square leg area. Long leg comes round to save two.
And that's a century for Singh! Well played indeed Sir!

Well played! It is the maiden ton for this young kid..:hpraise This reminds me of my captain who also started his career for HT with a century. :)

End of Over 34: 247-0, runrate=7.26
Sagren 7-0-63-0
Bishop* 136 (107 balls)
Singh 105 (100 balls)

End of Over 35: 164-0, runrate=4.69
Haishen 8-1-21-0

YAY !!! YAY !!!

36.6 W Haishen to Tredgett
Huge bounce outside off. Tredgett tries to square cut off the back foot and sends a big nick through to Govender who pouches a straightforward catch at hip height.

Party time :happy
