Not entirely actually! They just collapsed early on in the play, as did I this morning. I did manage to win tho, an innings and 93 runs!

Wasn't much support for Quintus who made 191. I ended up all out for 443.

Got 2 late wickets to put the game in my favour.

End of Over 38 (2 runs). Team Death: 103-2, runrate=2.71 (1st Inn: 253-10)
Trail by 87 runs. (Baggy Blues 443-10)
Candlish 5-1-13-1
Fahy* 5 (9 balls)
Bull 9 (12 balls)
Last Wicket: Eavis b. Cook 44 (FOW: 90/2)

Wickets are coming slow but steady

44.2 W Neil to Bull
Give me an 'L'! Give me a 'B'! Give me a 'W'! What does that spell? LBW! He's out!

61.2 W Sam to Fahy
Fahy looks to cut and but gets a thick edge which is smartly taken by Ray standing up to the stumps.
63.6 W Sam to Islam
That's a poor decision by Islam, he's left a straight one which has flicked the top of his pad. Given out and rightly so.

End of Over 67 (3 runs). Team Death: 187-5, runrate=2.79 (1st Inn: 253-10)
Trail by 3 runs. (Baggy Blues 443-10)

Derbyshire 4-0-18-0
James* 45 (52 balls)
Bennett 53 (48 balls)
Last Wicket: Gayle b. Burdett 0 (FOW: 0/1)

Good start from me. Former Top Class Kid, Martin James, is closing in on his half century in his first match with my team:D

Pretty happy with all of the batsmen :) except Bignot who got an early run out :(

45.2 6 Dangasela to Nicholls
A cacophony of horns and whistles erupts from the crowd as that one clears the long off roof and lands on the Chairman's Bentley in the car park. What a shot, although the club's insurers may not think so!
And that's a century for Nicholls! Well played indeed Sir!

In style!

45.4 6 Dangasela to Gore
A quicker delivery from Dangasela but Gore is not impressed. One step and the ball is hoisted over deep mid wicket and clears the boundary.
And that's his fifty! Well played.

In some more styleh!

End of Over 46: 260-3, runrate=5.65
Dangasela 8-1-50-1
Nicholls* 105 (101 balls)
Gore 53 (50 balls)
Last Wicket: Glody c. Fox b. Branch 35 (FOW: 143/3)

So far so good, looks like I'll be having a decent total to defend on seamers paradise today!

Last 5 over signature battrick wobble is now over

End of Over 50: 284-5, runrate=5.68
Dangasela 10-1-63-3
Spiller* 10 (6 balls)
Barnard 2 (2 balls)
Last Wicket: Gore c. Montgomery b. Dangasela 63 (FOW: 278/5)

284 on a green pitch and a cloudy and humid day. Samuel and Co. are going to have some fun.

Huge wicket for me as my star (90k BTR, 29k wage all-rounder) takes out his star (77k BTR and 27k wage keeper-batsman).

6.5 W Ludlam to Wheater
What a catch by Mason. He seemed to fly there.

He's got a couple more good batsman but none are as high skills as Ludlam so I'm hoping he'll take a few out before the end of his spell.

EDIT:

7.4 W Alder to Hammond
Hammond is beaten by the swing and gifts a thin edge to Basson.

Alder picks up the next one. This is going well!

0.4 W Samuel to Yates
What a corker... Yates just watched on as Samuel sent the off stump into row Z! The crowd appreciated that one.

A good start!

3.6 W Singh to Colley
He's gone; bowled Singh, stumped Meyer.

I don't know what it is about Singh, his skills are pretty pants but he always perfoms when bowling with Samuel!

End of Over 5: 19-2, runrate=3.80, reqrunrate=5.91 (284-5)
Samuel 3-1-8-1
Cilvers* 1 (2 balls)
Corniel 9 (9 balls)
Last Wicket: Colley st. Meyer b. Singh 9 (FOW: 17/2)

So far the pressure is working well and the run rate is pretty slow, hopefully Samuel can knock a few more over in his opening spell.

End of Over 15: 60-5, runrate=4.00
Stone 1-0-9-0
Chinnery* 22 (22 balls)
Baldwin 4 (3 balls)

A couple of wickets from Dodd have left me in a great position, bearing in mind it's a flat pitch.

End of Over 42: 213-6, runrate=5.07, reqrunrate=9.00 (284-5)
Barnard 9-2-42-1
Mcdonald* 15 (7 balls)
Cilvers 81 (97 balls)
Last Wicket: Montgomery c. Nicholls b. Singh 11 (FOW: 197/6)

There was a period when I really thought the game would be out of our hands, but I've just come back from gym to see a pleasing sight! We managed 4 wickets which halted their scoring pretty well. If I know battrick he should collapse from here.

42.3 W Singh to Mcdonald
The ball flew in the air to Gore and he takes it at the fourth or fifth attempt. I haven't seen juggling like that since the last time I was at the circus.

And one goes....

42.5 W Singh to Coeries
Confused, baffled, bewildered, befuddled. However you wan't to say it, Coeries's been stumped.

two....

An over later and it's all over!

43.2 W Barnard to Fox
Barnard gets his man with one that pitches around off, holds its line, and forces Fox to come forward. That ball was not full enough for him to be driving at, and the result is the thinnest of edges through to Meyer.
43.1 W Barnard to Dangasela
Gone! Good length delivery on the off stump and angled away, Dangasela smashes on the front foot, but straight to Nicholls who takes a comfortable catch.

And that's the end of the match. BFN Bombers won by 68 runs.
BFN Bombers 284-5
Bazzas 216-10

Thank you Bazza's beat you on a PAN, at least I know for certain I'll be doing well this season.

Worst display by my batting lineup in a long time. Chasing 240 was all out for 153 in 40 overs. Masi and Germon were the stars with 50 but needed Masi to convert to a 100.

End of Over 29: 127-6, runrate=4.38, reqrunrate=9.86 (333-6)
Orr 8-0-47-0
Oakley* 19 (31 balls)
Edgerley-harris 2 (7 balls)

pretty embarrassing defeat

need to manage my bowlers PF better
