Welcome to Quackwood Pond for the match between Eleven Ducks and TaxXI.

We can tell you that Eleven Ducks won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this partially cloudy day.

Time for my poor duckies to get murdered. Hoping to keep him below 350.

2.5 W Denham to Hook
Fast and straight. Stumps out of the ground. Hook begins the slow walk back to the dressing room.

Well that was unexpected

Battle of the champions has seen the Baggy Blues fly away to a big total on this uneven track.

End of Over 50: 285-4, runrate=5.70
Hunt 10-1-53-1
Naqqash* 47 (37 balls)
Crouch 52 (55 balls)
Last Wicket: Rogers c. Cox b. Royle 64 (FOW: 200/4)

TJE strength is in the batting so lets so how they go in this chase.

This matchup certainly hasn't disappointed.

End of Over 40: 219-1, runrate=5.48, reqrunrate=6.70 (285-4)
Rogers 10-0-69-0
Ferdinand* 72 (60 balls)
Pollock 104 (127 balls)
Last Wicket: Harbin c. Branch b. Mampe 41 (FOW: 87/1)

TJE still the boss of PC.
And that's the end of the match. Tom Jones Enthusiasts won by 7 wickets.
Baggy Blues 285-4
Tom Jones Enthusiasts 288-3

Good thing Suren knocked him out :p

Wages indeed. Here, we've lost to a team paying two thirds less.

There's been a lot of talk on the boards that attacking no longer works and defensiveness is now key. Scoring has certainly dropped a bit.

It's hard to say as yet with so little data, but I don't think fielding changes have brought any benefit to high fielding skill; although you can see more chances for decent fielders, the drop rate is so high that it might as well not happen.

I'm not feeling the new ME at all.

Easy win against a BOT.

Ouch! Looks like you got screwed over by the BT collapse.

7 8 3 9 10 isn't really a shocking collapse in a low scoring game, although the 3 getting out just 3 runs from the end is pretty stupid. It's more the fact of everything else; why was it so close? 142 for the first wicket makes no sense unless it's now that much more useful to bat first in certain conditions.

History tells us that when you're 3 down after 20 overs, you're probably screwed in a big chase. Dare we believe for a second the graph suggesting that the chase is going well?

A world of no.

End of Over 13: 28-6, runrate=2.15
Patanjali 2-0-13-1
Bittner* 7 (19 balls)
Warner 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Tau c. Mills b. Patanjali 0 (FOW: 28/6)

Pffffffft such an easy game :p

I thought I had thrown the game, but apparently he may have done so as well, which has seen a fairly close encounter at the moment. Especially as I picked a player who I thought was a run of the mill player, but turns out he is actually a very good player.

End of Over 22: 68-1, runrate=3.09
Tau 3-0-16-0
Rix* 1 (1 balls)
Croft 50 (50 balls)
Last Wicket: Austin b. Pringle 14 (FOW: 60/1)

Still a fairly long way to go though in the game, my bowling line up is pretty shite for this game but I could actually win it with the strength of my batsman I am playing.

Battrick - Off Drive v 1011 Noobs

Won the game by 9 wickets.
