Commonwealth Bank Series Feb-Mar 2011/12

You are freaking genius Sedition. Genius in trolling it hard. :cheers:thumbs

But who cares about your stupid tweaking thinking? We played ???? cricket and we got what we deserved.

So we have the better record in the last 10 years, 20 years, 50 years and are competitive no matter which continent we play on. India are the champions of India and nothing else. Next time you guys win 17 tests in a row, or 30+ world cup matches in a row, 4 world cups etc. etc. let me know.

Everyone has a bad day, you should know, you've had a string of them the last months.

Who stopped 17 match streak of Australia twice?
Who stopped 4 Aussie world cups?

What a joke. You look helpless on Indian tracks and then whine about pitch when you lose. At least we dont do it.:lol

Helpless? India has won 15 tests to our 12 in India, and only 5 compared to our 26 in Australia :lol Talk about way out of your comfort zone.

No one stopped us from winning four cups, certainly not India who were eliminated in the group stages.. or did you forget about the 2007 WC? or is it the thrashing in the final of the 2003 cup you're choosing to forget?

It's hard to imagine Sri Lanka being able to win against Aus on Friday no matter what they try after losing a match like that.

Because this series doesn't take into effect the NRR (which is utterly ridiculous to say the least!). In the case of two teams having the same no:of points, the priority is given to the head to head record between the two and India boast a 2-1 record against SL. So basically it's a do/die match for SL against OZ.

Sedition made his points clearly, referenced some things that did actually happen and isn't resorting to hair-pulling. He's only being critical of a cricket team. Can't very much declare him a troll because he has a dissenting opinion (shouldn't we welcome it?). It's the nature of a three team tournament to have a party who on a given day was neither winner nor loser and that doesn't automatically make them subservient. Illogical frustration is a good way to turn reasonable discussion into personal attacks. In many ways, an agent provocateur is validated more by crying foul than by supporting arguments.

At the moment Australia need to demonstrate themselves somewhat like India because their batting at Adelaide and Hobart did come across as a bit slow. Their opening hasn't been consistent; even a 50 run stand would be a marked improvement. They will need to bat well at Adelaide at least once. The only thing I could say about Sri Lanka is that their prospects hinge most on Malinga being able to bowl well, otherwise, they don't have a glaring weakness. They could be equally good at Adelaide or Brisbane. However, if India get through, they'll need to overcome their demons at Brisbane, where both Australia and Sri Lanka succeeded in similar fashion.

Rather than hailing a return to form or ponder that mysterious force called momentum, I think it's a win that threatens to push the stereotype for India, that their batsmen can do anything on a flat wicket, but the problems start when it's important to have all the other skills. It's nice to have a thrilling break in the monotony, but it would be nicer to kick the habit.

India were the winners of 2008 CB series and have won some matches in 2012 CB series as well . So to say that they lack complete skill set is being unfair to them.Yes, there are a couple of players who do not seem to have the required skills to face short stuff(Raina and Jadeja). But then it becomes a captainship issue and not a skills issue. They should not have been picked . The fault lies with Dhoni.By taking potshots at his team mates Dhoni has made the matters worse . Even in tests he could not press home the advantage in crucial phases of play .

I never thought that I would ever say this about Dhoni, but this is more of a captainship and man management failure .

People are being a bit harsh on Sedition.

It's not his fault India are crap...

*whistles and walks away*

IMO, its better to have the current rule (where more no. of wins and head to head wins) are considered than NRR (I am not saying this because it could suit India, but truly)... Giving weightage to wins first, and then going to NRR is the better thing. Victories should always be considered more important.

So A win by india and now
INDIANS: "Yahoooo!!! That is why we are the world champions" ....... blah blah blah

AUSSIES: "Grrr...grrr.grrrr... WTF"

LANKA: ""

This is so called "Mahaaz"

Liked Dhoni's reply yesterday when he was asked if he would follow the Aus-SL match. He said "we will be shopping, along with some practice". They just dont need to sit in front of the TV and watch that match. They lose nothing from here. If Sri Lanka qualify, it will bring an end to a nightmarish tour for India and already they are itching to go back home. And also, they would have had a dominating end to a poor tour. If India qualify, it gives them another shot at the trophy with them now close to their red hot form. So India need not be worried. Whatever happens, all the pain has already been felt and dealt with. The test series pain will still linger a bit, but most of them must have moved on by now

They will because the Aussies are gonna have the biggest number of cricket fans on earth cheering for em. Well, just for 1 "SINGLE" day.
