So are who are Sri Lankan fans rooting for? It should be Australia or they won't make the finals.

So that's 3 sides of the CBB series that want Australia to win? Excluding the haters of certain countries (obviously).

I am having a doubt here.....:D Suppose if Australia bat first and score some 280....What is the minimum target Lanka should score so as not to allow India sneak into the finals...

Oh...from yesterday even my brain isnt working properly....:D as I am looking at that NRR column and getting worried :D over the minus NRR which India is having....

Head to head

IND V SRL 2-1
AUS V SRL 1-2
AUS V IND 3-1

Possible outcomes

Australia win: Leaves SL and India tied for points; Sri Lanka knocked out on head to head record
Sri Lanka win, Tie or No Result: India knocked out on points alone.

Sri Lanka are the side which have threatened Australia the most. Losing once more would not make them the favourites in the finals. Deliberately losing would be a most boneheaded tactical suggestion, but there's every reason to expect Sri Lanka to train hard for this match and win.

Keeping India in the finals with a victory would afford Australia more of a mental advantage, which they could press at the Gabba. However, India ought to be more comfortable at Adelaide, so they would not be written out of the story by the first loss.

There is also the distinct possibility of rain in each of the remaining games.

It seems Sehwag is injured and thats why he is rested from the Asia Cup squad. If thats the case, why the heck is he playing right now in the CB series matches? Is it because of all the controversy that erupted about the rotation policy? And if he is playing, it means he is fit. Then he should go to Bangladesh for the Asia Cup? Where is the friggin' transparency from the Indian selectors and the BCCI?

Now theories will float that Sehwag is the fall-out guy in this Dhoni vs Sehwag battle, and that Dhoni's promixity with his CSK owner cum BCCI president N.Srinivasan has played a hand in Sehwag's ouster to "rest and injury". They are only adding more fuel to the fire.
