Commonwealth Bank Series Feb-Mar 2011/12

I think it's just a convenient excuse. He ended up miles out of his ground because of a questionable call and a lightning fast run out. Lee's position on the field didn't even make him break stride. Different story if they'd collided, but that's always ugly. To be honest, any time a collision is avoided, it's a small mercy.

I would have given Hussey out, but on the Sachin run out, if that was an aussie batsman instead would you guys have any problem with it? I think not..
India called Bell back, Withdraw Markhand (or whatever it is called) appeal and there are more which I don't remember now so yeah!

Let's face it guys, Spirit of Cricket is only hurting us. But that's that. That shouldn't be the excuse of losing match. We played bad, deserved to be out of series.

Yeah, you guys are squeaky clean, always play in the spirit of the game :lol

Undue importance is being given to Hussey and Tendulkar wicket . These two incidents notwithstanding India should have won that match. Barring Brett Lee and to some extent Ben H , the rest of Aussie attack was up and down stuff . The fact that Indian batsman could not chase down 250 odd runs against this attack shows that their batting gone completely awry .
Dhoni's rotation policy completely messed up the team . Utter lack of common sense .
Dhoni wants to play the 2015 WC with the likes of Raina and Jadeja  . Their technique, especially Raina's , needs a serious relook .Will Dhoni himself survive till the next WC if he keeps looking out for his buddies and takes crappy decisions ? When Sharma and Tiwari scored they should have replaced Raina and Jadeja . What message do you send to your team when guys like Raina continue to hold their position in the team while some good batters are benched and some proven match winners are rotated . Raina has never been a match winner outside the sub continent .

Maybe Raina will score some runs against SL but that will not cover up his inadequacy . Dhoni should give Tiwari a chance and drop Raina . But I don't think it will happen . Tiwari may not set stadium on fire,he may go for a duck, but he deserves a chance on the basis of his performance.

Anyways moving on to discuss about the next game. Atleast win it and go out on a high, India. I am absolutely ruling out the bonus point win. If it was the Sri Lankan team pre-Mahela's captaincy, I would have still kept my hopes alive. But ever since Mahela has taken up captaincy of this team, they look completely different. hungry and impressive with each game. They have beaten Australia twice in a row, and one of those was with a bonus point (crushing win). They are on track to win the series, and I dont see how India can win against them, let alone crush them with a bonus point.

Signing off with a high would be the best thing, more so for one Little Master (not just for this game; I mean in the overall perspective). A hundred here for him (in beautiful Hobart batting conditions) could hasten the end of his international career and that would be the best way to go. Play carefree, nothing to lose from here on (for Sachin).

Want me to put out a whole list of Aussies..spirit of Cricket? Well..bulk of em would include the Sydney TEST. 80% of em would Include the great Andrew Symonds. :P
Who infact was in one of the most cheapest Indian reality show. A reality show where even few of the Indians wouldn't participate.
@ Video -: I don't see Spirit of cricket to be used in Eng-Aus & Ind-Pak. :P

This is the only game where India actually need to be batting second so they will know exactly how much they need to score in 40 overs but I have a feeling that today we will actually bat first for the first time in the series and will screw up everything we can.

Well Dhoni won the toss. That is weird.

So Dhoni won the toss and India are chasing. I hope we could post a 270+ total today.

Well, we have done things right uptil now. Won the toss and we are bowling first. Seeing the last game where Sri Lanka chased Australia's total comfortably at this venue, this is a wise choice. And backing India's batting to get them that bonus point is a wise decision.

Just hope we give it everything. If its our final match of the tour, ending it on a high would be a tiny consolation. Zak is back which is good. A good attack today with Zak, Praveen and Yadav. Hope Yadav gets the new ball or atleast he bowls early enough

Michael Clarke (capt), Shane Watson, Dan Christian, Xavier Doherty, Peter Forrest, Ben Hilfenhaus, David Hussey, Michael Hussey, Brett Lee, Clint McKay, James Pattinson, Matthew Wade (wk), David Warner

Aka Pattinson in for Harris. Think Harris could be done now.

Not a bad start from India. Though we didn't pick up wickets, we have not them get away with a fast start.

India defeated SL once and would have won second match if the umpires had had got their counting right. So their is a very good possibility the India will beat Lanka with a bonus point but still may not make it to the finals . After all, India's place in the finals depends on Aussies :D . Hope Aussies beat Lankan's :noway

I don't see India winning this with bonus point. It looks like Sri Lanka will be posting at least 280 from here and by looking at our batsman's form, it looks impossible to chase down that target in 40 overs.
