Nice detailed feedback Gold, thanks for that. I will fix the cut shot and leg glance (I guess you were refering to back foot leg glance) in the update. Mostly due to lack of feedback I was unable to tune further as I have to rely on my own time to first review the patch and then fix anything. What this patch does is gives you chance to play shots but even a little mistime you may lose the wicket so when a wicket or two falls it's a good idea to shield the newer batsman and also not play Backfoot straight drive, Back foot cover drive, Front foot cover drive and aerial cut shots. These are the shots that result in high number of edges and also when mistimed pretty much ends up as a catch. While you have one aggressive batsman scoring runs all the time, the other should drop anchor and that will set you up for a good score or a chase.

It is not impossible to score sixes as long as you settle a batsman down. In my just concluded game I scored 2 hundreds by playing percentage cricket only. It may need a bit of tuning the current patch for advance shots CPU plays against the spinners and the sweep shot. I am pretty much done but I am going to be bowling shortly and when I do I will pick up any shortcomings which I can fix.

I have also changed the field set up a bit, please ensure you also download and install that one.

It is a software to make the game run faster,so timing the ball becomes more difficult.

I recommend it,as it saves alot of time when playing the game!

Yep I think it has only a Trial Version,and that limits you to moving the slider to only 4 times or something.

But once you've got it at the right setting,you can use it with no drawback(Except the fact you won't be able to move the slider)

X speed is wonderful software and really enhances the gameplay experience a lot.As a result game speeds up and it is more difficult to control the bowling and batting looks more smooth.Fast bowlers look more pacy and we can finish game in less time.So you can say it compansates the dull gameplay and slow speed of cricket 2004 to some extent.

I had some issue with xspeed as it some time frozen my system and its speed changed automaticaly so I am using another program which name is speed gear and it is woking nicely for me.It gives you hundered free tries. .You can download it from here:

Now I cannot live without these software as far as cricket2004 is concerned as if I play without this then cricket2004 looks so slow that I quit and then start it with this program .Enjoy

Me too, I can't fathom how I can play Cricket2004 without using !xspeed. It is such a wonderful experience when we use !xspeed. It makes the game quicker, bowling harder, batting not so easy and more than anything the game appears lot smooter for some reason.

I set it to +1.74 when batting and +1.6 when bowling, I do concede over 10-15 wides but it is truly a challenged bowling at that speed.

I set it usually to 11150 to 12000.It looks ok for me as once I set it to 1700 and game was damn fast.You can set it according to your system needs.It also improves system speed as windows seems to work more quicker and file transfer rate is fast from one partition to other.

old version of xspeed

i got the old version of xspeed which is not a trial but it doesnt speed up software no more then 4 multiple. i am using it at 1.41 since february and had no problems. if any1 wanna use it, i will upload.
