Cricket Academy Version 0.0.73 Discussion

So damn unfair to be in a non cricketing country....I will protest outside Australian embassy if they don't organize a parallel event here in Germany.

All nations are welcome to attend... I wouldn't arrive by boat though, as while you'll get a free island holiday upon arrival, you will miss the premiere by a few years.

I wonder if anyone else feels the batting close cam needs to be moved slightly to the left (rhb) I'm sure it wasn't this wide in DB14 and I think if it was a little straighter it would help with picking the line. I often am playing the ball off middle stump that I thought was going to miss leg stump. Batting far cam seems about right. Other that that I'm really enjoying the training game. Like the way the ball bounces over the outfield especially.

No, we will not release a match for you to play in the Academy and we never said we would - it has nothing to do with game state - posts like this are not helpful in any way, they give us nothing. Joining dots that don't exist, and then coming to a conclusion based on your more than flawed logic, is more than annoying.

We use The Academy to try derivatives of the game to test what people think, it is not indicative of the current state of the game, it lags behind as it is a separate executable.

Matches are playable in our offices, the world premiere is around mid-October (specific date TBA) in Melbourne where the public will get to play the full game.

@BigAntStudios Really looking forward for the World Premiere but a teaser or trailer release will be good to see before we get to see the action packed gameplay videos :)...Thanks

This version does have close cam moving along with the player's movement but got used to the change though..Felt bit weird at start ..

Check out the close cam in the nets, it doesn't have the slight movement right when the ball is bowled out of the machine, feels a lot better and hopefully is closer to the final angle in the game.

Really excited for this. Any chance of putting the Facebook Live feature to use? ;)

Wonder who would do the official hands-on reviews for PC this time with Matt on the BA team?

Yeah live streaming the gameplay demo event on twitch or youtube would be great.

@BigAntStudios, @MattW are you or your publisher planning to do so? Do run this by your publisher (Tru Blu) as the event should get a lot of eyeballs.

Yes I agree with moving close cam straighter ala DBC14

We always allow cameras at our in-store events, key is making sure people are not in shot as then the stores will shut it down (privacy issues).
