Sehwag gets India of to a flyer​

After the break of 45 minutes the openers Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar as well as the Sri Lankan fielders came out into the middle . Virender Sehwag had made a great return after the T20 World Championship and no one can leave Tendulkar out of the squad when he is fit as he is a great player . Chaminda Vaas has been the main strike bowler for the Lankans for many years . The umpires called play and the crowd roared as Vaas ran to bowl . But the first ball itself was smashed away for four by Sehwag . Aggressive start by the Indians . Sehwag had made a very aggressive start . While Sachin on the other end rotated the strike . Fernando who shared the new ball with Vaas went for many runs in his 5 overs . While Vaas troubled Sachin Tendulkar with his length . But there was no stopping Sehwag . Sehwag played some glorious shots which were eye catching . Indians raced to 62 in the first 10 overs .

Sehwag's blistering innings consisted of 8 boundaries all round the ground . Tendulkar soon got his first boundary when he played the straight drive which went to the boundary , the ball almost kissed the leg stump at the non strikers end . Mahela was running out of plans as Sehwag was just unstoppable . He played all kinds of strokes , the straight drive , cover drive , late cut , pull shot , leg glance , and he inside out shot over the covers . The crowd were not enjoying Sehwag's innings much as the Lankans were on the receiving side of all this . Chaminda Vaas bowled well as he went 27 in his 5 overs while Fernando was expensive as he went for 34 in his 5 overs .

H.Bhogle : India are off to a flyer after 10 overs India are 62 of 0 . Sehwag is on a high and lets hope he does really convert this good start into something special for him and the team .

Sri Lankans back in as Sehwag departs​

Inda had made a brilliant start thanks to Virender Sehwag's run a ball score . Nuwam Kulasekera was bought on by Mahela as first bowling change . Sehwag invited him with a leg glance which went all the way for a boundary . But it was Kulasekera who won the battle . Kulasekera bowled it towards pads and Sehwag went for the glance for a six but instead he edged it and produced an easy catch at fine leg by Chaminda Vaas . Sehwag had to departs for 47 of 46 balls and Indians had lost their first wicket for 69 .

R.Shastri : Sehwag hits it but he is caught by Vaas at fine leg . Useless shot to play when you had scored a boundary of the first ball . Sehwag goes for a blistering 47 of 46 balls and India are 69/1 .

New man in was Sehwag's Delhi team mate Gautam Gambhir . Gambhir found very difficult to face Vaas who was had changed sides . Vaas was making Gambhir struggle with his length . But some credits should be given for Mahela for his field set which didnt give a single run on the offside . Tendulkar who had just got his eye in rotated the strike and gave some important tips to Gambhir whenever he played a loose shot . Soon the partnership started building with singles here and there . Fernando who was in his second spell was again the target man and went for 15 runs in his next 2 overs . Gambhir to got his eye in and started taking the singles . After 18 overs Mahela decided to bring his spin twins on . Ajanta Mendis was given the ball and Sachin welcomed him with a boundary over mid on but the rest 5 balls Mendis dominated and made Sachin struggle with his spin . Murali was too welcomed with a boundary from Gambhir through the offside but the rest of the balls made Gambhir unable to read the turn and bounce of Murali .
