Northamptonshire trail by 169 runs to win

Well we have had some real excitment here late in the second session with
Afzaal smashing the Derbyshire bowlers around the park scoring five boundary, including 3 sixes, off just eight balls to really boost Northamptonshires confidence. Prior to the arrival of Afzaal Northamptonshire seemd the quiet content in playing the overs out for a draw. However its all changed now with Afzaal showing his intentions and he will be hoping for a long stay at the crease. It will be interesting to see how the Derbyshire bowlers will counter this ultra aggresive play from Afzaal and whether this short dash from Afzaal will inspire his partner M.Love who has been at the crease since Roberts fell in the first over of the Northamptonshire innings.
