Derbyshire all out

A great fight back by Derbyshire lead by Shaquille Smith. They now have a 108 run lead over Worcestershire and will be hoping to contain the dangerous Graham Hick. David Gower caught up with Derbyshire s chairman of selectors Dominic Cork during the interval.

David Gower:- Hi Dominic, you must be pleased with the efforts of young allrounder Shaquille Smith

Dominic Cork:- Yeahwell, he certainly dug deep and really got us out of a big hole. He showed determination, grid and a hell of a lot of natural ability with his innings today. As far as him being an allrounder, well i think the first innings really showed his talant certainly lies with the bat, but the young man will certainly tell anyone who will listen that hes an allrounder.

DG:- Ha ha ha, yeahs he is certainly a charming young lad, I once meet him at a gifted player training session when he was 16 and he certainly told me how he was more than capable of opening the bowling and batting a three.

DC:- Well that our Smithy and we certainly love him for it.....

DG:- Thanks for your time.

DC:- Cheers mate.

Worcestershire has survived a telling 12 over spell here before the tea break. Derbyshire bowler gave little away as they bowled a perfect line and length. There looks to be a few foot marks forming on the pitch so we may see the introduction of you finger spinner Steve Moore. Only time will tell...

Lets head back to the action.
