Just had an interesting hour of dbc17. I am playing Australia vs Pakistan in a test match and have noticed a record amount of bugs/strange occurrences. First one was Usman Khawaja's dismissal. I got a thickish inside edge before the ball ballooned of his pad and seemingly directly to the keeper. The thing was, after it hit the pad the camera just went nuts and zoomed into an appealing fielder and his pad so I didn't actually see the keeper take the catch. The umpire gave it out, and the batsman had 13 review confidence and the non striker 0 (or vice versa, I can't actually remember). I had absolutely no idea what it was out for so just out of curiosity I reviewed. As I had initally thought, there was an inside edge which showed up as a thin mark of hotspot. However, for whatever reason, the third umpire ignored it and I was given out LBW
Couple of overs later Shaun Marsh played a similar shot which was a far more obvious edge (massive vibration). Long story short:umpire gives it not out, Pakistan review, big snicko noise, no hotspot, after a solid couple of minutes we finally move onto ball tracking. Turns out it was not even close to the stumps which was a big waste of time as it wasn't letting me skip it.
Another thing that happened was an Amie ball was flicked by Steve Smith to midwicket who threw it back in to the keeper and it rapped Smith's pads. No one moved so I stole a quick single. Bizarrely, by this time everyone was still standing still even the keeper who was only a few metres away from it. I ran the second and only then did someone move to pick up the ball.
Shaun Marsh got away with another one which hit him just outside the line of off and everyone went beserk in appealing. While the impact was just outside the line, the ball was hitting the centre of middle so it seems bizarre that they weren't even offered a chance to appeal.
The last one was more of a proper bug. On the first over of a new day I wasn't ready for a ball (was multitasking on cricinfo and Aus just got a wicket so I was reading it) and Callum Ferguson got knocked over. Because I didn't think it counted as a real dismissal, I restarted the game and for the first ball of the day Shaun Marsh was facing which I didn't pick up on until I reached for a wide one and nicked it to the keeper. Noone appealed and it wasn't given out. Next ball, Callum Ferguson was facing and the previous ball had just been a dot.
Good fun overall but from someone who has played quite a few test matches, todays was the least enjoyable
