Don Bradman Cricket 14 General Discussion

^ higher number of first class runs in a career than any other player as well.

Love the fact that the list of the highest first class run scorers are a list of the great and the good of English cricket (because they played more FC games; people like Grace, Boycott, Hobbs, Sutcliffe)... and then Graeme Hick...

e: the only Aussie player that would have made the list is Bradman; but he lost six years at the end of his career to the war...

And England dropped robin smith way too early but carried on persevering with hick!!

Agree with statement about bradman bein best licence. Tendulkar = cashing in
Bradman= we got a class game for a class name!! Roll on friday!! Ross has been a man of his word so far, end of November is Saturday, all logic points to a very Good Friday! I read that a few if the English players a big fans of gaming, he could do his bit for "stralya" by gettin it out!!! They'll never want to stop playing it.

probably not read the other thread yet but he's said unlikely to be any announcement on friday...

still think they should have called it Mark Ramprakash Cricket 14 - he scored more first class runs than Bradman did!!
I hope you're joking but lets compare each of their first class stats shall we:
BRADMAN RAMPRAKSH
Matches: 234 461
Runs Scored: 28067 35659
Batting Average: 95.14 53.14
100s/50s: 117/69 114/147
Top Score: 452* 301*
Balls Bowled: 2114 4177
Wickets: 36 34
Bowling Average: 37.97 64.76
5WI: 0 0
10WM: 0 0
Best Bowling: 3/35 3/32
Catches/Stumpings: 131/1 261/0
Note that Ramprakash may have made more runs, but he did so in almost double the amount of matches. If Bradman had played that many he'd have eclipsed Ramprakash's stats (which in most cases he already had). A comparison of their test stats now as they both played the same number of tests:
BRADMAN RAMPRAKSH
Matches: 52 52
Runs Scored: 6996 2350
Batting Average: 99.94 27.32
100s/50s: 29/13 2/12
Top Score: 334 154
Balls Bowled: 160 895
Wickets: 2 4
Bowling Average: 36.00 119.25
5WI: 0 0
10WM: 0 0
Best Bowling: 1/8 1/2
Catches/Stumpings: 32/0 39/0
There you go more proof that The Don had a far better record than Ramprakash. Also why would an Australian game developer, name a cricket game after an English cricketer instead of arguably Australia's (and the worlds) greatest ever batsmen? Just doesn't make sense.

max. 3 days to go till release date announcement.....:)
[Ross said that announcement will be made before end of Nov.......Right???:yes:noway]

Considering the stuff with Ashes happened after he said that, don't be too shocked if you don't hear anything this week. A massive change in the market is bound to throw things off plans.

If Ashes stuff is the concern for stopping announcement in this week (As said by ross we hear about release date in nov ending)...Again a big mistake...when bigant want to announce a date later....stupid ashes people comes with another crazy idea(may be console or Pc dvd release).....Again Bigant may stops announcement of release date ....It becomes loopy....Better now or never ....every one is eager to get good cricket game now.....

We haven't changed anything as yet, we're still sticking to the plan. If something changes I'll let people know immidiately.

So we'll either hear a release date tomorrow, or an announced delay tomorrow, but we'll definitely hear *something*. (Well OK, could be Saturday :P)
