Don Bradman Cricket in the Press

Another review: good trickle of these happening now. Don Bradman Cricket 14 Review | Aussie Geek
Though again confused with the branding - not noticing it's just 'Don Bradman Cricket' on the new consoles, and using screenshots and the trailer from last year's release.

They really needed to put out a trailer focusing on the areas that show the most enhancement on the new consoles.

I'm wondering whether they are actually sending out review code, or whether these outlets are just finding it. Normally you'd include bits of pertinent information (such as those improvements, screens, trailer links etc) when sending to journos: If Tru Blu have maintained their "no review code" stance then it makes sense that without that info journos are just finding partial bits of info themselves.
If they ARE sending out review code, then maybe because they don't usually do it they don't know what to send?

"against players at the tail end of the order every type of throw possible wouldn’t put them off. When it did eventually let you have a wicket it felt a bit flukey which slowly but surely has turned my excitement to play into pure dread at bowling."

one of the most accurate descriptions of bowling in this game i've seen (apart from those i've written myself).

One of the best reviews I've read. The reviewer got the bowling part and online experience spot on. It's clear the guy actually spent time playing the game instead of writing stuff such as "reverse sweeping bowler for a six". This part nails the online experience...

Do you remember me mentioning this game having bugs? No me neither because until I ventured online there was only ever one weird incident that could be considered a bit. Once online it’s a bit of a mess when you eventually find an opponent. I’m not just talking tiny bugs; I mean runs not counting, balls teleporting from fielder to wicket in an instant and players making the strangest of movements. Believe me when I say that put a huge downer on the whole experience; the online has lots of match types to play but even a quick FIVE5 match was unbearable.

Now THAT's impressive - Exactly the audience they need to capture. This is HUGE - fingers crossed this can help kick-start a bit of momentum over this latter part of the World Cup. In terms of the UK it won't help that England won't be part of it, but hopefully the press keep focus on it! And Ireland are the new England anyway right? :)

Absolutely huge given The Sun's circulation in the UK.

Now let's hope that there is actually stock available in the shops for people who might be tempted after reading that review in this morning's paper.

About 2m - That's a lot of eyeballs. I'm assuming that, being the Sun, if it ends up online it will be behind a paywall, which is a bit of a shame, but those 2m copies get passed around a lot, left on trains/in bars etc... Lots of tertiary eyeballs.
