I was thinking of doing like a 2-group thing, like the current WC, but we've got an odd no. of players. So instead, how about we have a round-robin stage where we go against each other, and the top 2 have an All-Time WC Final? Would be epic

Yeah Chewie would be the right person to sim the match. But we have to decide on the ratings of the players or should we left that decision to chewie too

Shouldn't we just use the batting and bowling averages for their WC performances as batting and bowling averages in the game?

nah cricksim doesn't work very well at all that way.

On problem Cricsim has is no Strike Rates or Economy. I don't like that. It means low average bowlers = high economy (even if they had low economies) and high average batsmen = high strike rates.

There is this sim called TotalCricket which takes all 4 factors into account and is pretty decent. Look into that. Free to download and use.

Impartial ah, Chewie? I did use the actual WC averages of the players except for Klusener's batting average. Agree, CrickSim takes into account only averages but, it is the most efficient sim.

chewie's good enough to decide although there will be heaps of people in my team who should have averages over the 40's.

back to the draft, i need a good spinning all-rounder in the next two rounds i'm pretty sure he'll be taken by then but you never know, also need a keeper batsman who again hope he isn't taken before my turn.

Yeah, for the leagues ratings should be limited. For mine league as well, no one is over 40.

There is this sim called TotalCricket which takes all 4 factors into account and is pretty decent. Look into that. Free to download and use.

Been testing it from at least an hour or so. To be honest, I find CrickSim still better. Sure, this does have a nice UI and more features but still results pretty much awkward.
