Draft time: World Cup history - ALL FINISHED!!

Procrastination Ahoy!

To make life easier for you sim people, I've spent the last hour gathering the batting and bowling average for the players picked so far. They're their overall WC averages (excluding variables like value to team, injuries, wonder-boy in one WC, penelope pitstop in an other etc...). They're in the form of: "User - Pick - Bat avg - Bowl avg". The "-" means they never batted/bowled.

Should really have been working...:p

But AB has never kept in a World Cup (until this one). How does that work?

Anyways, my pick is Mark Boucher. Write up later.

I'm not sure... David Boon's kept more than AB de Villiers in World Cups :D He filled in for Ian Healy in a couple of games in 1992.

Yeah, that is what I was wondering as well. AB can be taken as a keeper? And, nice work Smurf! :thumbs

Loving Symmo's average.

A look at my team:

Andy Bichel

The perfect player to fill my team's number 8 spot. A Finisher with the bat, who can get some quick vital runs and also wicket taking bowler too. In 2003 World cup with Mcgrath and Lee already causing enough trouble for other teams Bichel joined their party too. His figure's of 7/20 against England is the 2nd best in World cup history. He got just 3 opportunities with the bat and he impressed in all 3 of them.

Over-all World Cup Stats:

Mat: 8
Runs: 117
S/R: 83.57
Wickets: 16
Avg: 12.31
BBI: 7/20 v England
E/R: 3.45

My World Cup XI:

1.Rameez Raja (Runs:349 Avg:58.16)
2.Stephen Fleming (Runs:1075 Avg:35.83)
3.Mahela Jayawardene (Runs:671 Avg:33.55)
4.Alec Stewart (Runs:520 Avg:32.50)
5.Klaas-Jan van Noortwijk (Runs:322 Avg:46)
6.M Odumbe (Runs:452 Avg:30.13 Wkt:18 Avg:31.5)
7.Lance Klusener (Runs:372 Avg:124 Wkt:22 Avg: 22.13)

11.Glenn Mcgrath (Wkt:71 Avg:18.19 ER:3.96)

103 could be because of Not outs. Same is the case with Klusener as his average is about 120 odd with 8 not outs in 11 innings, I think.

I'm thinking I won't actually have time to do the simming, sorry! I'll still be following it though :)

And, nice work Smurf! :thumbs

Got some good news for you :yes Did about 4 sims between your XI and mine yesterday. In the first game, you put a score of 350-odd, which I managed to chase successfully :thumbs The other 3 - you managed to win with more than comfortable margins. Of those 3 wins, you captain was MOM for two of them.

And no worries Chewie - thanks for offering in the first place :thumbs I'm sure we can sort something out between ourselves.

Ha ha, it is fun isn't it? I also love to do simming and stuff. Glad Ganguly performed. How were Akhtar-Bond doing? :D

I know his average is a bit mis-leading but for a batsman coming at 7-8 average doesn't matter, but quick 20's-30's to boost up the total.
