Just ran another sim, just for testing. This time, a warm-up between Mohit's XI and Sifter's.
It was actually a very interesting chase - just lost too many wickets at the end there Jason.
For you who do sim in a regular basis - what averages do you use for players who never bowled? Do you leave it empty or put 00? I've been using the latter so far.
And what about guys who never batted? Allot's never batted during a WC, and since you have to put an average, I used 01. What do you guys normally do?
And anyone know where Rizzy's dissappeared off to?

You use 99.
I'd just base it on what his career average is, so 3.
Most of the time we have a larger sample of matches, so everyone would have batted.

You use 99 for people you don't want to bowl.
Guy who have never batted I just give a general rating. So if they're a bowler give them 5, an all-rounder 20, and a batsman 30.

Aah ok, thanks guys. Does it make a difference though if I use 00 for bowl average? Those guys have never bowled yet (although, I've only ran 6 sims).

Probably the best spinning all-rounder going around these days in ODI's, he has made centuries, taken 5 wicket hauls... all in one match! He has finally realised his potential at the international level. His world cup average might not be impressive but he's tried to bat out innings numerous times for Bangladesh in the 2007 world cup where he made 2 50's and took 7 wickets in 9 games. His overall average says it all though with 2834 runs at an average of 34.98 and with 129 wickets at 28.80.
His batting will be a valuable asset to the side incase of a top order collapse at seven but his bowling is what will be most needed as the sole specialist spinner in the side who has the ability to contain or attack.
