It's funny how some people think Fifa's passing is too slow and unresponsive, it's realistic.
If you have actually played real football, you will know that passes do not always need to be hit at pace right to another player's feet, there is a gap between wanting to pass and actually passing (from a poor touch, players putting pressure on you etc.) and also, if you think that passes are underhit a lot, you could use the manual passing system (not tried it myself though).

All I was dissapointed with was the shooting, and now I seem to have gotten more used to it and am able to score a lot more goals and some really good ones.

Fifa 08 next-gen is a quality all round game, it has all you want out of a game; lots of modes, fun and fairly realistic gameplay, great presentation (menus and layout of everything looks really good), very good graphics, very good animations, lots of stadiums, good sound effects and music, good online play, fairly good commentary, lots of licenses.
I would rather play a game which has all of this than the terrible bug-filled PES 08 with it's 8(?, maybe less) leagues, last-gen gameplay with tweaks and arcade gameplay.

No offense Madman but you change your opinions on these games more often than Benitez changes his starting XI.

You'll be saying how amazing PES is in a few weeks and that FIFA is no good.

I personally love both this year. But PES online is just so much better.

Deliberately fouling to stop someone going through on goal isn't really cheating, you most likely get a red card from it making the rest of the game a lot harder for you and it is done in real football, players do professional fouls when they know the opponent will score, a red card is better than conceding a goal most of the time.

So breaking the rules is not cheating?

They don't get sent off every time. At least, not when there is a second defender within 10-15 yards.

It always happens to me as well. On FIFA the refs rarely brandish cards, on PES they are card-happy. Is it really so hard to come to a compromise EA and Konami? I want my players to be set off when they are the last mana nd they break my strikers leg, not when they win the ball and there is no contact whatsoever.

I left Luton after one season. I got them promoted as champions, won the FA Cup and the Johnstone's Paint Trophy with them. I moved to Everton and I have started well in the league with them.

These are my results:

Bolton 0-1 Everton
Everton 3-0 Sheffield United
Southampton 1-0 Everton (they were just too good on the day)
Everton 2-0 Liverpool (a great result, I have just moved to professional difficulty and I beat Liverpool!)

I sold Andy Johnson of all people to FC Dallas and bought Kevin Kuranyi from Schalke 04. He scored against Liverpool and he has a great first touch, a top buy.

I Re installed FIFA 08 on PC... also Fifa street 3 on ps3 is the best game ever.

I dont think deliberately fouling is cheating, it happens in the real life game, but I do agree that there should be harsher punishments in FIFA.

The commentary has pros and cons, its got a lot of variety, even with specialised comments on unexpected players, one example is Viduka. However, the timing can be damn awful.

Yeah there is a foul called 'Professional Foul' in real football except it happens around the middle of the pitch not when the opposition is going to score

Had an immense 3 games with Phil. First game, he scored first, I equalised and then he scored again with the least kick of the game.

The second game, he scored first again, I retaliated with a 20-yard cracker from Joe Cole. He replied with another great goal, making it 2-1. I made it 2-2 before time. In the 109th minute of the game, he scores a header.

Third game was goalless all the way to the penalty shoot-out. I won it - 16-15! Ronaldo missed Phil's last penalty because he's useless.

Lol, yeah they were great! I got lucky in that 1st game, that second game was brilliant, and the Cole goal was great. Will was England btw, I was Portugal. In the 1st and 3rd games, I was United and he was Arsenal. The pen shoot out in the last game was immense, Will had the chance to win it with Fabregas with his 5th pen and he hit it straight down the middle where I'd guessed, he still won it in the end though.

Alexandre Pato is the best player in game ever.

Lol got him free agented in manager mode for LA, and AC Milan wanted him for 33 million. I didn't sell him though. .
