England in India - Oct to Jan 2012/13

Unchanged XI from the recently concluded Pakistan match, whatever, just win.
Shami Ahmed is dropped and Dinda comes in.
Idiotic to drop Ahmed after he had such a successful debut.

I strongly condemn Dhoni's move to remove Ahmed from the playing XI. The way he bowled in his debut match was sensational, high-quality. I mean, what the hell is Dhoni thinking? I don't blame him for the losses we've had over the due of last few months, not completely at least but as the captain, I'm sure he has all the say in the playing XI. You give Ahmed a chance to play, do wonders to his confidence and then just demotivate him in the very next match by not selecting him! Wow, just wow. :facepalm Besides, I've never rated Dinda as a good bowler. Having pace is one aspect, using it in the right way by bowling in the rights areas is another aspect.

England are now trying rotation, I think it might be the stupidest ODI series to leave Swann out of, assuming they haven't written the series off that is. Too many players with little overall experience playing out in India, what "genius" keeps coming up with England policies?!?!?

Looks very thin in a number of areas that team and squad, while England have made a good start I expect India to make England struggle either mid innings, late on, or both.

They probably didn't want Shami to bowl at such a flat track.Anyways,Dinda is horrible atleast in ODIs.His economy rate before this match was 6.14.:(

I hope Pakistani Batsmen are watching and learning about how to deal with military medium crap of Indian bowlers. I wish Kumar had bowled his full quota of overs though.

Ok fair enough but still 120-130 KPH should not be too disconcerting for international batsmen as was not the case with our batting.

A lot of ppl have been talking negatively about Dinda. I like the guy and he is good for the future. If one is to give him a nice bouncy track, he can be very much lethal. The positive about Ashok Dinda is that he can contain the flow of runs and is a very good death bowler.

I like Dinda's bounce and energy.
He seems very fit, and looks like someone who will keep going when others are giving up and breaking down.
He is a wicket taker, and that is important, anyone can go for 7 an over on these pitches, but not many can take wickets with genuine wicket taking deliveries.

England Rooting themselves in the foot here...young Joe should never have been given so many overs.
