Mind you this is the first match of the tour. This is the time to adapt and acclimatize for England. What do you think the purpose of such matches are? England can lose this game, but in return come back strong in the 1st test against Pakistan.

Still a long way to go in this game. England currently 164-8. Trescothick not out on 78 , Prior not out on 16. England are going to field 14 players in this game, 11 at a time obviously.

Thats the whole idea behind tour matches. Get all your players match-fit and prepared for the main games. Even the Pakistan Patron's XI will be fielding all their 15 available players, 11 at a time.
