I think you'll find England won the ODI series back in 2007, Suren... ;)

Ganguly and Singh have reportedly had a bust up following India's 3rd ODI loss

Reports this morning coming from the Indian cricket camp have stated that there has been a bust up between Sourav Ganguly and Harbhajan Singh after their loss in the 3rd ODI at Edgbaston yesterday. The BCCI have not yet released any more information on the matter, but they have told the media that they will issue a press conference later today.

Sourav Ganguly has been prone to controversy after he fell out with ex-Indian coach Greg Chappell in September 2005. Ganguly had only returned to the side for the World Cup earlier this year, a year and a half gap from international cricket.

Harbhajan Singh was left out of the Indian test team but was called up to replace the injured Anil Kumble for the final test. Singh has picked up just two wickets so far from the three One Day Internationals, and has become increasingly criticised from Indian fans over the past year.

We shall have more on the news as we get it...

Good news for England, this should really effect the Indian team's morale :)

Hopefully Kumble can come back soon in for Singh as I prefer Ganguly. Hopefully he banged him out. ;)

Good unexpected storyline, Jack, and another twist. Great writing.

BCCI announce Singh and Ganguly suspension
The BCCI have handed out a two match suspension to Singh and Ganguly

13bhajji.jpg

Both will miss the 4th and 5th ODI's against England

After reports of a training ground bust up between Sourav Ganguly and Harbhajan Singh the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced that both players will be handed a two game suspension starting immediately.

Reports this morning stated that Ganguly and Singh had fallen out in training following India's 48 run loss in the 3rd ODI. The BCCI held a press conference earlier this afternoon stating they would be handing the two players a two match suspension for unprofessional conduct.

The BCCI chairman Shashank Manohar would not release details on the bust up, nor would he release the reasons behind it. Speculations coming from the Indian camp say that offensive language was exchanged between the two before members of the Indian team intervened.

Ah damn, was looking forward to seeing Ganguly smash your bowlers in the next ODI matches. England are definitely favourites in my eyes now. Would of liked to know why they had a bust up though. Next update; information leaked? ;)

Great stuff, Jack. Looking forward to the 4th ODI.

yeah like Jaz said I am looking for for Dada to hit England bowlers everywhere.. Hopefully Indians can cope without Bhajji and ganguly.

England v India, 4th ODI, Old Trafford
Fourth ODI team news
Cricinfo Staff
August 29, 2007

India will make two forced changes to their side to face England in the 4th ODI
at Old Trafford, the suspended Ganguly and Harbhajan Singh set to miss out.
In their place Ramesh Power and Robin Uthappa will get their first game of the
tour, Uthappa expected to open the batting alongside Sachin Tendulkar, and
Powar to play as the second spinner on a pitch renowned for spinning.

England will be unchanged from their comfortable 48 run victory at Edgbaston,
with captain Paul Collingwood hoping for more of the same from both his batsmen
and bowlers.

It is expected that there will be a break from the dark and rainy conditions of
late with sunshine to play it's part through the course of the day. The Old Trafford
pitch will favour the bowlers, with the ball bouncing for the seamers and turning
for the spinners. The toss may be a crucial factor in deciding the outcome of the
match, both captains will want to bat first before the pitch gets roughed up.

England: P.Collingwood (c), I.Bell, S.Broad, A.Cook, A.Flintoff, D.Mascarenhas,
M.Panesar, K.Pietersen, M.Prior (wk), O.Shah, R.Sidebottom

India: R.Dravid (c), P.Chawla, MS.Dhoni (wk), Z.Khan, I.Pathan,
R.Powar, R.Sharma, RP.Singh, Y.Singh, S.Tendulkar, R.Uthappa

There both fairly strong squads if you ask me, but India to win this match :D

Wow, Ganguly and Singh being suspended is great news for you, as it makes the English batsmen lives so much easier! Both have good squads but I think England can win.

Great work mate, kiu!

Both the teams looking good. But S.Tendulkar this name is enough to give the Indians the win..

England vs India
4th Natwest ODI
August 30, 2007
Old Trafford, Manchester

Hello and welcome to live coverage of the 4th one day international between England and India. I'm David Gower, reporting from a sunny Old Trafford. Despite rain over the past few weeks we have been blessed with blue skies and sunshine for the 4th ODI. England currently lead the series 2-1 after a superb win at Edgbaston. India have had their problems over the past few days, Sourav Ganguly and Harbhajan Singh being suspended by the BCCI after a training ground bust-up, but they will be looking towards their young side to level the series.

The pitch is a little on the dusty side, meaning that the spinners will find some turn and bounce. It is also rather hard and will give the seam bowlers some pace and bounce. Old Trafford is renowned for it's exciting wickets, and it should be no different here today.

England have gone unchanged from the side that won at Edgbaston three days ago, whilst India have had to make two changes.

England will open with Alistair Cook and wicketkeeper Matt Prior. England's middle order consists of Ian Bell, Kevin Pietersen, Owais Shah and the captain, Paul Collingwood. Andrew Flintoff, Dimitri Mascarenhas, Stuart Broad, Ryan Sidebottom and Monty Panesar make up the all-rounders and bowlers.

India are without Sourav Ganguly after his suspension, so Robin Uthappa gets his first game of the tour. He will open with Sachin Tendulkar, whilst Rohit Sharma has something to prove coming in at three. Then the experienced middle order of Rahul Dravid, Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni. India without Harbhajan Singh are a little thin on batting, but Ramesh Powar will do his best to emulate Singh's spin bowling. Irfan Pathan, Powar, Piyush Chawla, Zaheer Khan and RP Singh are India's bowling attack.

Before we head down for the toss, lets take a look at Sky Sports' 'Commentator Predictions'.
