India to chase 197 from 30 overs

England vs India
3rd Natwest ODI
August 27, 2007
Edgbaston, Birmingham

The umpires have decided the game will be reduced to 30 overs after heavy rain cut England's innings short by six overs. The ground staff have worked hard to keep the game alive, clearing standing water from the outfields in quick time. The Duckworth-Lewis method will come into play, meaning India will need 197 to win. For the match to come to a resolution, England will have to bowl 20 overs in India's innings.

Lets take a look at Kevin Pietersen's Wagon Wheel for his 95 he scored earlier today:

Now lets remind ourselves of the two teams before the Indian batsmen head out into the middle.

Pietersen was brilliant for England, not only did he bat well but he batted fast. The rain has perhaps given England a better chance of a result in their favour, in my opinion, but will have to get their bowlers to strike very early.

Great presentation, Jack, love the graphics.

Great story mate, loving the wagon wheel. Too bad rain stopped the days action, and now we'll see wether England can fight back

Shame to see rain come and ruin the match. Great graphics just put a bit of bevel on them.
COME ON ENGLAND!!

Kieron, I think I know what I'm doing. Bevel would just ruin them. I will give them a tweak for the 4th ODI, but that's more to do with the coulours and gradient.

Thanks for the comments guys. Hope to get the game wrapped up over the next few days and then get to work on the updates asap.

:cheers

Ok no problem dude. I personally think it'd look beter with bevel, that's just my opinion.

If you take a look at the actual Sky Sports graphics you'll see no bevel. I'm just going for realistic, plus I do prefer it looking simple and neat.

Your opinions are appreciated though :)

yeah completely agree with you Trev. Skysports doesnt have any bevel and its simple and great

wow. Amazing gfx!! Everything looks perfect, the lighting just does it for me! Awesome stuff there, not an easy total for India, the openers will need to fire. Top stuff mate, good to see this going on still! :)

Wahay! Thought you had stopped this story, obviously not. :)

Looking forward to the update, Jack.

Yeah, updates take a hell of a lot of time just because of a problem with my stumps. Since the game began the stumps have had the bail colour at the top of the stump and then the stump colour on the bails. I've had to edit each picture which is why it takes so long. Here's an example:

Is that white color on the top of the stumps should be the bail color?? If that so its the first time I have seen this problem..But anyways it loos good if we can edit the stumps in this manner,:p

The musky white colour should be the bails, and the template is correct as I made it myself. I just have to edit each picture as it comes, so quite often I try to pick pics with not much of the stumps showing. Takes its time, however.
