Nice work mate hopefuly tendulkar smashes a ton so that india can win overall great work treva.:clap

Well its typical Sachin tbh. The English bowlers should know that the margin of error against Sachin is very little. That said, they should apply pressure on the new batsmen who is Rohit Sharma. Personally, if England are to win this, they need to stem the flow of runs aswell as take a couple of wickets.

Fantastic works mate. C'Mon England! :hpraise

India need a further 65 runs to win from 10 overs

Superb works as always treva.
This seems to go down to the wire.
Dravid is well set,so 65 in 10 would be easy to chase I think.
England bowlers have to bowl extremely well here.

India win by 3 wickets with 1 ball remaining

Wow good win for India, a real close game there. Just got it in the end. Sidebottom got absolutely hammered there.

Love this story. Great stuff.

Tendulkar knock helps India to last over victory

Fourth Natwest ODI, Old Trafford:
India 262/7 (49.5 overs) beat England 260/7 (50 overs) by 3 wickets

Match Scorecard
__________________________________________________

Sachin Tendulkar hit 80 as India beat England by three wickets in the fourth one-day international to level
the series at 2-2.

India chased down 261 set by England with just the one ball remaining as Ramesh Powar hit the winning
boundary off an expensive Ryan Sidebottom.

Tendulkar set up the chase with a briskly made 80 from 73 deliveries in an opening stand of 105 with Robin
Uthappa who hit 39.

Middle order contributions from Rahul Dravid (35), Yuvraj Singh (19) and Irfan Pathan (32) brought India to
victory, once again bouncing back from defeat to level the series.

England had earlier made 260/7 thanks to an unbeaten 8th wicket partnership of 52 between Andrew
Flintoff (33*) and Stuart Broad (27*).

Kevin Pietersen looked the most confident of the English batsmen once again making 43 from 46 balls before
he was bowled by Pathan.

England's opening pair of Alistair Cook and Matthew Prior failed to make an impact once again, and at an
average partnership of just 38.5, many are calling for a change at the top of the innings.

Ian Bell (20), Paul Collingwood (31) and Owais Shah (21) all made starts but gave their wickets away
needlessly.

Dravid's slightly strange tactics went for him as well as against him as first change Tendulkar bowled well
and finished with figures of 1 for 45 from his ten. In contrast Rohit Sharma bowled six expensive overs
costing his side 54 runs and numerous extras.

India came out to chase in positive fashion and the game looked to be cruising to an Indian victory.

However, Monty Panesar got rid of danger-man Tendulkar and produced a tight spell to drag England back
in with a shout.

Despite regular wickets England's seamers leaked runs, and even when Yuvraj, Dhoni and Dravid fell
between the 35th and 45th overs it looked like India would make it home.

The teams travel to Headingly on Sunday for the fifth game of this seven match series.

This is turning out to be a good series, superb knock by Sachin and good bowling by Panesar.

I guess England fell short of 15-20 runs. Great work Jack :)

Cheers Khalek. Well you could say they were just 9 runs short, because then India would've needed 8 runs to win off the last ball making it impossible for them to win or tie.

Like you say, it's shaping up to be a cracking series, just like it was in real life.

Ramesh Powar won it for India,I would say.The 25 runs he got off 18 deliveries was a crucial knock. The presentation is just very good to say the least.I would love to see what happens next in this series.

That was a good match for India. This series is really getting interesting. Also nice to see Sachin making 80 there. Waiting eagerly for the 5th odi.

Anyways nice presentation,Treva.

Twenty20 Quadrangular, Nairobi

Afridi demolishes Uganda in tournament opener

Cricinfo Staff
September 1, 2007

Pakistan 177 for 5 (Afridi 82*, Younis 43, Olwenyi 3 for 27) beat Uganda 123 all out by 54 runs
Scorecard

Pakistan opened the Kenya Twenty20 Quadrangular tournament with a convincing 54 run victory over Uganda.
Shahid Afridi smashed an unbeaten 82 from just 51 balls in an innings that included 7 fours and 4 sixes.

Pakistan hit 177 from their twenty overs thanks to knocks from Younis Khan, Shoaib Malik and Salman Butt. Afridi was
the star of the show, though, as he brought up his fifty in style with a huge six over midwicket.

However, it wasn't all plain sailing for the Pakistani batsmen as both Imran Nazir and Misbah Ul-Haq fell for ducks.

When Uganda came out to bat they knew it would be almost impossible to chase down. The task was made worse
when Mohammad Asif bowled Lawrence Sematimbe from the first ball of the innings.

Nicholas Kebba and Kenneth Kamyuka tried their best to get the innings up-and-running but both were dismissed on 24.

Pakistan bowled out Uganda in the 20th over to wrap up an easy win. Umar Gul, Shahid Afridi and Yasir Arafat took two
wickets each in an impressive bowling display.

Uganda take on Kenya whilst Bangladesh and Pakistan face off against each other in tomorrow's matches.

Good entertaining innings by Afridi, Uganda vs Bangladesh should be interesting.
