England Tour Of Bangladesh 2010

Age 28, FC matches 88 - says it all. I just hope he's not another Salisbury/Dawson/Patel/Such/Schofield etc (thrown in, not persisted with or really anything special)

I already fear that he may become one of those. But based on what i remember from Such, he was fairly superior to Tredwell.

LOL Raqibul retires from international cricket at the age of 22 for not being in the T20 World Cup 30 man probables.

He retired because the board didn't want him selected, the selectors did, so therefore selected him and the board tried to get them to unselect him. So presumably he's retired because he feels totally screwed over.

and few weeks ago, Mashrafe came back and left after playing the 1st ODI. Saying "family issues". But he left because he had troubles with the board and some say with Shakib as well. Something going down...

oh dear.

I just realised that the member status' are more insults than reward for having made a lot of posts. I'd rather stay an international captain forever than be the chairman of selectors or an ICC board member.

Shakib's been fairly blunt about it, and to a point I agree with him, the board are sometimes going to be idiots, no need to throw your toys out the pram (Although if you had a chance at a promising career in another field maybe it's more understandable)

Shakib blaming Mashrafe for indiscipline  This kid's becoming annoying and boastful day by day. He should wear the sort of attitude that Ashrafool had when he was captain, always positive about the team and their performance, although his tactics on the field is much better than fool's.

Just saw an interview of Raqibul in a Bangla channel, he said he performed well in the warm up game to get a place in the test side so he could retire and teach BCB a lesson for dropping him for the ODI series against NZ and England. :facepalm

maybe he should performed well prior to being dropped. rather than play well just so he can end his career on a spiteful note.

i thought of this, i was pretty sure of what must've been his brilliant plan. What-A-******. Why not perform so you can stay in the team, rather to retire to teach (teach? teach what? wtf) the board a lesson? It's their job you butt head. If you suck they drop you. Even Sachin got dropped 1s. And every 1 asked him to retire and blah blah blah. But he stayed on, came back, and look at him, hittin 200s in ODI, getting to 100 centuries. And who are you? some guy 22 year old kid, can barely hold a bat. I hope we never see his face in green and red.

dumb ass..

and Shakib needs to STFU. did he forget that he was humiliated by the board and was forced to bow down few weeks ago?

1 Tamim Iqbal, 2 Imrul Kayes, 3 Junaid Siddique, 4 Aftab Ahmed, Mahmudullah, 6 Shakib Al Hasan (capt), 7 Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), 8 Naeem Islam, 9 Abdur Razzak, 10 Rubel Hossain, 11 Shadahat Hossain

finally Riyad is promoted. but what the hell is Naeem and Razzak doing there?! :doh

Really immature decision by Raqibul Hasan. I don't know what Aftab and Razzak are doing in the squad. They just aren't right for tests.

you think Naeem is? this will be 1 quick and short test
