England Tour Of Bangladesh 2010

Kieswetter looks a fantastic talent with the bat but I just want to see how good a keeper he is, certainly can't do any worse than Matt Prior.

BTW can the BCB XI chase down 371? :p

of course!! any team from bangladesh is just plain awesome.

and i say again: bangladesh are going to win every game! (see no text speak, can't delete that now)

i just admire the bangladeshis. i have nothing but positive things to say

Oh it's you! You are the man. McLovin will be most pleased to see you posting again.

A century for Kieswetter, 143 off 121 balls. At least we'll have someone to take advantage of the powerplays on Sunday then.

Indeed. Just a shame that one of the best OD players in England is going to be dropped so that we can play Matt Prior as a pure wicket-keeper. Why don't they just realise that Prior's a poor OD player and drop him? It's like they're trying to avoid upsetting the Test keeper by letting him hang around. He's not scoring runs and he's a mediocre keeper, get rid of him.

I want to see us go into the first game with:

Alastair Cook * (hmm, still not liking his inclusion in this side)
Craig Kieswetter +
Kevin Pietersen
Jonathan Trott
Paul Collingwood
Eoin Morgan
Luke Wright
Liam Plunkett
Graeme Swann
Stuart Broad
Ajmal Shahzad/Ryan Sidebottom (depending on Sidey's fitness)

Kieswetter you beauty. Just what he needed to make sure he would be getting a spot in the proper side once the real cricket starts. Nothing says 'I'm English' like a 143 in your first game. Great to see another Somerset player following in the footsteps of Botham, Caddick and Trescothick :D

Come on Cookie/Cooky, show us how terrible you are at captaincy during the real matches :D

well i see Nafees and Taposh B aint come to main XI any time soon.

good to see you again. welcome back.

LOL damn right!

Mashrafe will play the 2nd WU match tomorrow (or in few hrs). Hopefully he doesnt get injured or anything. Play well and get picked for the main squad.

he has been out of int. cricket for over 7-8 months.

:facepalm Looking more and more likely that Trott's not going to be included in the first ODi. He hasn't featured in either of the 2 warm-ups, which is worrying. It took him a long time to finally get picked, and then despite averaging 49.33 in the 4 ODi's he's played so far, it's looking like he's going to be dropped, with players like Prior, Kieswetter and Cook picked ahead of him. Just makes no sense at all.

BCB XI made 153/8 from their 37 overs today. Sidebottom picked up 2/35, Bresnan 2/32, Plunkett 1/21, Shahzad 1/26 and Tredwell 2/17. Should be able to chase that down quite comfortably, hopefully Kieswetter'll get a few more runs.

To be fair, he bats slower than Rahul Dravid does in a test match.

Shahriar Nafees is out of all sorts, I really expected him to make a point after coming back from the ICL :facepalm

Mashrafe is back finally but he's definitely not at his best atm.

He made runs in one game chasing 250 and one chasing 119. It's not like the scores were improper for the conditions. Besides, is this really the England ODI side we're talking about? There's no point getting 200 in 40 overs and being all out. England can't really afford to be picky about which blokes that average over 35 they want to run.

Mashrafe to retire from test, like i said before.

Mortaza uncertain of Test future | Cricket News | Bangladesh v England 2009/10 | Cricinfo.com
In total, Mortaza has undergone six knee reconstructions in the space of eight years, but his latest return to fitness followed arguably the most demoralising setback yet.

the guy couldn't even captain for a full day after he was selected as the captain.

I'm not really sure what you are trying to say in this post?
