England tour of India (5 Tests)

India getting all out for 350-370 will be a very good result for England. Jaiswal the only shining light in the innings so far. What should have been 450+ score is not even remotely looking like one.

We’ve gone back to the 2018 times of our batting being useless in SENA conditions barring one batter making a good knock with another playing a supporting role while our bowling bails us out continuously.

Except now we’re missing that supporting role player and we’re facing this scenario in home conditions. Absolutely embarrassing downturn of events.

A quick look at the non-Jaiswal members of India's top eight:

:ind: :ar: Ravichandran Ashwin

In lower order - 2,345 runs @ 25.21 (3 centuries, best 124)
Last 12 months - 184 runs @ 18.40 (best 56)

Honestly the biggest takeaway from this is that rightly or wrongly, everyone from three to six is playing out of position.

The bloke comes on belatedly and bowls well… and this is supposed to be an indictment of the people asking for him to have been bowling much earlier? This feels like some bizarro world logic.
As they mentioned, he is only good enough to bowl to tail enders- perhaps their version of Arshad Khan or the 2nd coming of Peter Such/ Min Patel.

This has been a concern in the Dravidian era. If I remember correctly, Dravid, the captain too had a fascination with making wholesale batting line up changes.

The batting line-up looks shit especially with the recent form and their overall averages.

If you take out Jaiswal's innings that was a pretty ordinary performance.

Calling it ordinary is still praising it.
Seems like I am being misquoted here, I meant the whole Indian innings without Jaiswal.

The great thing about Jaiswal's batting is his ability to be equally good on both Back foot and front foot.

Signs or making of a great player.

Hope he performs well for a longer run.

What the heck Kuldeep is doing out there?
