Need to give the next superstar to the country. No Virat for the first 2 tests. Guess, something is amiss with him. Missed the last few T20s as well. Hope nothing seriously wrong on the personal front though. Speculation rife that his wife is pregnant again.
Reminder that Jay Shah's dad runs the interior/home ministry, this situation could have been easily resolved. So Bashir definitely won't be playing the first test
India v England: Shoaib Bashir returns to UK to resolve visa issues
Spinner Shoaib Bashir returns to the UK in order to sort the visa delay which is preventing him from joining the England squad in India.www.bbc.co.uk
Complete bullshit. I agree to Ben's sentiments that the squad was announced in mid December, had plenty of time to work through things but apparently like to give the toughest time to Pakistani origin players (in this case his Parents). Its not far that teams will stop selecting their best XI who may have players originating from Pakistan because they know how notorious BCCI is mixing politics and sports.Reminder that Jay Shah's dad runs the interior/home ministry, this situation could have been easily resolved.
Yeah probably the poor guy has not even been to PakistanComplete bullshit. Also since most of the revenue is through BCCI, nobody dares to touch them which is a shame as they should equally be stripped of status as Sri Lanka.
I expect England to pick Tom Hartley ahead of Rehan Ahmed for the first Test, and if Rehan plays it's as the third spinner.
Yeah, this is the XI I was expecting once Cherrington went home.
Wonder how close it would have been between Bashir/Hartley had Bashir been allowed into the country.Yeah, this is the XI I was expecting once Cherrington went home.
