• keeping the field up and trying to deny Foakes the single for a bit to get a full over at Bashir
• also trying to get Foakes out
• bowling Akash Deep at all

It's time to bring up one of Shane Warne's favourite cricket things: he loved defensive (consistent and repeatable) bowling, with attacking and creative fields. I know that's a lot easier to do when two of your bowlers are Warne and McGrath, but if Stokes can do it with Bashir and Hartley then perhaps there's something in it.
