The most important software you need is Photoshop CS2 although some may prefer PaintShop Pro as well. Pitchmap is quite easier as compared to hawkeye as for Pitchmaps we use the brush tool for making the dots and then emboss it to give cricket ball looks. Hawkeye is difficult to make as you will have to try that with various tools which ever you find easier to make involved in the s/w. Moreover hawkeye takes more time to complete than pitchmap and it really frustrates when we don't get good result after spending time on hawkeye. Frankly speaking even i struggled in the start while getting those lines right in for the hawkeye.
Thanks for the replies everyone. Updates coming up soon:happy. Lets see if Australia dominate after the 1st session or will England bat well on this good batting pitch. Stay Tuned
Cook, Vaughan rule on Day 1, England 319/3, Cook-Vaughan Partnership :250
England put on a brilliant batting display, largely owing to the combination of Alastair Cook and skipper Michael Vaughan who shared a mammoth partnership of 250 runs for the 2nd wicket. England ended the first day at a positive note as the duo helped England to post a huge total of 319 runs for the loss of just three wickets. Earlier, M.Johnson got his first test wicket, after dismissing the England opener Andrew Strauss. Strauss played a rash shot straight to the fielder and once again threw his wicket away after getting a good start. With the fall of the first wicket, England were in a similar situation as in the first test with 49/1 as the duo of Cook and Vaughan tried to alleviate the innings.
Cook was in good touch with the bat from the previous test match where he scored 83 runs and continued his brilliance with the bat today as well. After the lunch interval Cook continued with his score on 39 after battling the difficult first session of the match. Cook then marched towards a well earned fifty and put England in the good position in the post-lunch session of play. His knock was marked with some exquisite stroke-making followed-up with effective running between the wickets. After scoring his half-century he started playing his shots freely as the bowl was coming on the bat nicely and there was hardly any movement for the fast bowler. Even the spinners struggled as Shane Warne was hardly troubling the batsmen with his spin. A.Cook carried on with the run march against Australia in the final session of the day’s play as he scored another Test century his fourth infact and his first against Australia. His innings consisted of good positive batting with brilliant shot selection and timing.

But from the other end, the England skipper Michael Vaughan returned to form after scoring a brilliant century just when his team needed after England went 1-0 down after their first test. This innings will help the England team to gain confidence after they were outclassed by the Aussies in the first test. Vaughan cracked a blazing century to help his team make a strong comeback after he was left out of the side due to his knee injury. The century came off just 152 balls with 12 fours and one magnificent six off Michael Clarke. After failing in both the innings of the first test, Vaughan batted positively on this hard and fast wicket and never looked in trouble while facing any Australian bowler.
Vaughan back in form with a century
The experience of Vaughan and the maturity of Cook powered England reach their 300 run-mark with an array of boundaries. They creamed the pace attack of the home team with ease and rotated the strike efficiently to help England post a huge total on day 1. The 2nd wicket partnership between Vaughan and Cook yielded a mammoth 250 runs which got England in the driver's seat in this match. This pair got their 250 runs partnership in just 383 balls with both the partners contributed equally. Australian bowlers were left high and dry as they only managed to pick up a single wicket in the day with just an hour remaining before the close of the day's play.
250 runs partnership for the 2nd wicket
Just before the end of the day's play, Brett Lee got the much needed breakthrough after sending Cook back to the pavilion. Cook tried to hook a short ball from Brett Lee but the ball hurried on to him and he only managed to get a top edge and Andrew Symonds took an easy catch at fine leg. Australia got the breakthrough after which Cook's brilliant knock came to an end. Cook scored 134 runs and got his team in the drivers position in this match. Cook got a standing ovation as he was making his way back to the pavilion.
Cook finally departs
Great innings comes to an end
Cook's Wagon Wheel
The light started deteriorating as we were ending to the close of play for the day. England were looking to play those final few overs carefully to end the day's play with just two wickets down but Bell played an uppish drive in the cover region and Clarke took a magnificent catch diving forward. That brought the night watchman M.Hoggard at the crease but he managed to play those three deliveries as umpires offered the light to the batsmen
Bell dismissed for a low score again
Bell scored just 10 runs
England skipper M.Vaughan remained unbeaten till the end with his score on 129 as England scored 319 for the loss of 3 wickets. It was a tiring day for the Australian bowlers but Cook and Vaughan made full use of the pitch conditions.

Brilliant update Gamer. Cook and vaughan played brilliantly and took the attack to the Australians. Just to point out that on the bowling card it says that Andrew Symonds has took a wicket when on the scorecard it doesn't. Best of luck for the next day Gamer. The scorecards are amazing.
England are going a lone nicely here. Reminds me of the actual second test in Adelaide last year. Hopefully Australia can comeback here and get some early break-throughs tommorow. Congrats on 3000 posts Gamer and great work as usual
Cooky and Vaughan played an exellent Innings both of them. They have really helped England post a huge score in the 1st day, kinda like Ponting and Hussey did in my story
